Is there an advantage to using Dumbells over Barbells in this exercise? I feel like with dumbells I cant cheat as when I'm using heavier weights with a barbell I tend to use my right side more.

Edit: Would there be a benefit to switching off between there two weekly and progressing in each exercise?

I would use the barbell SOHP for your main movement.

You could possibly use DBs for assistance.

I personally dont use dumbells for any "main" excercises, but they're good for assistance work

Because you can handle more weight with a barbell? Any other reason?

I only use DBs for assistance too.

Because you can handle more weight with a barbell?.

just what I was going to say. more weight = good + the transfer to bench is much better.
I actually prefer PP and there are a lot of people preferring seated OHP rather than standing OHP because you can lift more.

Honestly a barbell is just easier to deal with since you can rack it. Once you start putting up weight it will become a pain in the ass cleaning the dumbells before you press them.
