I was at a small comedy show this weekend and the funniest comedian used jokes that weren't his. For a moment I felt like calling him out but I decided that I didn't want to embarrass him and put the spotlight on myself. Have you ever experienced this at a comedy show? I believe it's a well known problem for stand up comics...right? Would you have exposed him?

The guy whose jokes he stole is Rasheed Thurman who most people have never heard of because he died before he became famous. I knew he was stealing his jokes because I've watched this set many times as I find it to be hilarious. I don't think many of you will find it as funny as I do because I assume that you have to be from NYC and the hood at that to relate.

Who cares? Its more about the delivery than the material anyway.

Carlos Mencia stole Joe Hogan's jokes. And I stole that bit from someone else.

News flash! Comedians steal jokes!

Don't worry Amy Schumer will steal them from this guy and I'm pretty sure she's banged some black dudes

lol Thurman guy is pretty good. Those accent are on point.

I can understand a comedian being mad if they worked hard to come up with a routine only for someone else to take it as their own. However, like someone else said, delivery is still important.

In this case, if the comedian who came up with the original joke is dead, who cares? It's not as if the "joke thief" is taking away money or laughs from the guy. He's dead. He'll never deliver that material again. The people in the audience want to laugh. They don't worry about who to attribute which joke to.

you must be from NY and the "hood" at that.;)
