My friend's dog plays with squirrels like that. The squirrel is her friend, lol, it'll climb down from the tree to taunt her, and then climb up. My friend's dog is friends with a skunk, too. They play in the park at night.

I had a dog that would hide in the ivy along the fence. She knew how far away from the tree the squirrels needed to be before she would make her move. It rarely ended well for the squirrels.

I rescued a baby squirrel from a cat a year ago and took care of her for about a month before releasing her.

A few days later I look out the window and she's peeking in, I go out to the front door and there's about six squirrels playing on my front porch and peeking in the windows.
