Spike (Thiamine D- Methylprop.disulfide) inquiry

I have a friend that mostly lifts weights/not into mma, and he asked me about this stuff (brand name- Spike). He is trying to cut weight and get more energy. I had never heard of it, so any info would be helpful.

Spike is functionalized thiamin molecule that primarily causes a physiological reaction similar to amphetamine-class compounds. While stimulatory in nature, it works via a different pathway that adrenalinergic drugs such as albuterol and ephedrine. Being in this class, it isn't really a true "weight loss" compound. Non-pharmacologically, I would put Spike in a category that is somewhere between Ritalin and methamphetamine.

If you are looking for an energy/cutting product, the same company that manufactures Spike produces a line of products containing 3,17-dihydroxy-delta-5-etiocholiane-7-one-diethylcarbonate, or trade-name, A7-E.
