Spent $100 on a steak.. would YOU eat this?

You all are getting trolled... lol. On a side note I never understood why people get so sensitve about steak. I like a good ribeye myself, but it's not the end all be all of food.

I'm never spending $100 on a steak.

Pan fried not bbqed? Ruined one of them somehow? Come on bro.

You gotta get a big pot of boiling water, like the one you use for pasta. If you have left over salted pasta water from the night before, it’s fine to use that water.

Preheat oven to 550.

Take your steak and put it in the boiling water for 15 minutes. Time will vary based on size of steak. After fifteen minutes put it in ice water that you prepared beforehand. This will stop the cooking process. This whole process is called blanching, kind of.

Grab your cast iron pan. Put on medium/high heat. Grab your steak, don’t wipe any of the water off cause you want that splash effect. Place in pan and lightly brown all sides. Not too much browning cause then you get that crust and that’s messy and hard to chew.

once all side are somewhat brown take the whole pan and put it in the oven to get warmer. Take the steak, throw it on a cutting board and cut into two pieces. Then toss those pieces into your cast iron pan that is in the oven.

Bake for 45 minutes or until internal temp in teh 275. Yum.
This sounds worse

No. Even the rice looks bad op. You need the culinary equivalent of training wheels. I'd suggest a sous vide machine and a hot dog brander(for the grill marks).

I mean I'd eat it I suppose, but can't say it looks great...but then everything from the presentation to the photo makes it look even worse.

Slim pickins rigtht now when it comes to steak with good marbling. I spent $80 on 2 ribeyes at $38/lb and another $20 on ingredients. The steak themselves only had "OK" marbling, compared to before food supply shortage bullshit.

The first one I messed up, so into the trash it went. This is the 2nd one.

I put some peppercorn, sea salt, garlic, olive oil and let it sit for an hour to get to room temp, then fried it on the stove with a cast iron pan and put butter and thyme on it. I sauteed some mushrooms before cookin the steak.

Would YOU eat this?

Steak looks overcooked and over-seasoned. Also, I know you're Filipino/Asian, but putting that on rice is an abomination. Sorry, not sorry.

Spent a buck fitty on a 36 ounce tomahawk last year. Was worth every damn penny.

A good workman does not blame his tools. In this case you are to blame.

Well, we already know from Korean BBQ that kimchi goes well with beef/meat. But not really anything like the way TS did his shit up. BIG difference.
