It's just how it is. Ronaldo & Messi do what they like in soccer. Tiger called the shots in golf. Brady could deflate NFL balls. Nobody ever dared tell Tyson what to do. Not just in sports but in hollywood. Does some supporting cast member stay in a trailer on set as big as De Niro's? "It's not fair" - Well life's not fair. The UFC are more than happy to milk Conor's stardom but he can't? Absurd.

Some of those guys (everyone not named Conor) are legacy career guys with legit dynasty based off of actual achievements.
Others (named Conor) have not.

DeNiro...?

Conor is nowhere near the level of the other guys you mentioned....

Same with music and acting, and every kind of fame.
Madonna gets treated better than the guy with the PhD in music theory.
This is the way of life.
Conor has injected more interest and excitement into the sport than 99.9% of the roster since inception.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Actually, don't hate the game either.
Accept it as reality and get on with your life.
Life is hard enough without being bothered by what we can't change.

Sorry Conor does not belong in the same sentence of these guys. He hasn't even defended his belt one time yet.

This is the first time I can ever remember people crying "BUT HE DIDN'T GET SPECIAL TREATMENT!!!!" Like it's some kind of fucking tragedy. I thought people enjoyed it when "stars" got a dose of reality. Guess not with Conor, though. He needs to be coddled and stroked at every moment for some reason.

he said he can't handle staring down the lens at defeat,..or words to that effect. i've never done media and stuff like that obv so i can't judge him. he did set himself up for it.., but it's also the reason he is a household name.

conor wants the fight, nate wants the fight, dana wants the fight, conor's fanbase wants to see him fight. diaz bros fans want to see diaz beat him again. But you got to have principles. leave conor off with this what does he get away with next? then again who cares? he's promoted the fight even more by pulling this stunt.

The people you are listing are all time greats.

Conor is not that.

Also, Conor DOES get special treatment: he makes more money than anyone else in the UFC, and he gets title shots in weight divisions where he's never even competed, and he gets to simply choose not to defend his belt just to fuck around in a pointless rematch with Nate...

If that's not enough special treatment for you, then why don't you just go and suck him off yourself.

Yeah, I'm sure fucking Ronaldo doesn't have any media obligations at all. Yup.

I feel like the "fairness" argument by Dana was really silly. Of course fighters get treated differently. If Nate lost against Conor, would Dana have given Nate a rematch? No. But because Conor is Conor, he gets a rematch. To all of a sudden pretend you are "fair" and have to play by the rules is silly imo.

Quite possibly one the dumbest comments I've read this week.
Messi and Ronaldo shit out turds worth more than Mcgregor's net worth.

Oh, Mcgregor got special treatment when he got to choose another non consequential fight against Diaz. Rather than having to defend his belt, he got a rematch against someone who finished him in the second round.

Here's another thing dumbass Conor fans seem to overlook. If it really was too much promotion involved, why did Conor agree to sign the contract for the fight? I'm sure the contract stipulates his media obligations so why did he sign it if it was too much?
