source for historic boxing odds?

i am interested in looking up odds for historic boxing fights to help put them in better perspective. i think odds are an important piece of the story for just how important fights were at the time they occurred, their significance, etc.

are there any giant tomes of historic boxing odds out there on the internet?
 
I've never heard of any one site that could provide what you're looking for, Carp, but if you want to give a list of fights that you're curious about when it comes to the odds, I'm sure I can track them down for you by using some archived sources.

What you got?
 
Some odds on a few of the early heavyweight championship fights;

John L. Sullivan was a 2 to 1 favourite over James Corbett on the day of the fight.
Corbett was 5 to 2 over Charley Mitchell
Corbett was 10 to 6.5 over Bob Fitzsimmons
Fitzsimmons was 2 to 1 over James Jeffries
Jeffries was 10 to 8 over Tom Sharkey
Jeffries was 2 to 1 over Corbett
Jeffries was 10 to 4 over Gus Ruhlin
Jeffries was 10 to 4 over Fitzsimmons
Jeffries was 2 to 1 over Corbett
Jeffries was 10 to 3 over Jack Munroe
Jack Root was 3 to 1 over Marvin Hart after Jeffries' retirement

etc., etc.
 
i dont have much in mind, i just like to cruise odds, maybe stuff like leonard, hearns, duran, hagler odds for all those fights or something. but its really just my enjoyment of odds.
 
Oh geez, well as long as I don't have to talk about them beyond this, I guess I'll offer up some odds for those fights;

Leonard was a 9 to 5 favourite over Duran entering their first fight, and was also the slight betting favourite going into their second fight at 6 to 5.

Leonard also opened the Hearns fight as the favourite (8 to 5 it opened as), but by fight time that one came in at dead even odds, as did the Hagler/Hearns fight (Hearns started out as a slight favourite in that one before the odds shifted to even come fight time due to late money on Hagler).

Hagler was listed as anywhere from a 3 or 4 to 1 favourite over Duran, but by fight time it appeared as 3 to 1.

Hearns was also a significant betting favourite over Duran entering that fight as that one was at 5 to 2.

Hagler was obviously a big favouriye over Leonard entering that fight, and the odds on the day of were listed as being 3.5 to 1 in Hagler's favour.

I've always wondered what the odds on the first Foreman Frazier fight were
 
the ring record book supposed to have fight odds, but I don't have a copy.

anyone got one for sale?
 
I'm curious to compare the number of fights ATGs have been underdogs in. I suspect Manny is up there in terms of # of fights he's been an underdog in, despite being an ATG.

I wonder if Floyd has had any. Certainly Spence hasn't.

Man this man bet 9.2k on a fight and lost that bet via draw...man..
