Television Sons of Anarchy Was Cringe

I liked the first two seasons, but it really shit the bed after that. Even there you had to suspend disbelief slightly. It had some good scenes over the course of the years. Mayans MC's first season wasn't bad, but same story there.

Taylor Sheridan was told that he will never become a leading actor on that show, which shifted his focus to writing and producing instead. Was a pretty good decision on Taylor's part.
Supposedly the scene with Rip and the hands beating up the bikers and running over their bikes with the dually is a direct shot at SoA form Sheridan lol

I eventually finished it but it's a meh show. They never seemed to make much money so it's basically a show about taking risks, ruining your family and watching your friends die to be middle class white trash.
could have just got a damn job for all that hassle lol

The only time they make money is when they started running the drugs. Jax goes from riding an early 2000's Super glide to a brand new Street Glide. All their bikes got a lot nicer then but they all lived in the same typical midcentury ranch houses. Guess they couldn't figure out how to launder it for bigger purchases

it's one of the stupidest thing I've seen

the man leaves his family to join his biker buddies in jail

that's when I realized bikers are latent homosexuals

My YouTube algorithm is full of clips from the show and in hindsight, the show was a giant cringe fest. Jax may be one of the cheesiest characters ever created in a show.
Mayans was ten times the cringe, especially the final two seasons. They went full soap opera.

I was done with the show when Jax killed the FBI/ATF guy and buried him and that was the end of that plot line. Like a fed just goes missing in a town with a known outlaw biker gang and his coworkers are like "lolidunnowherehewent"

I love that The FBI guy Lincoln Potter came back to watch the Mayans get all murdered in the series finale of Mayans.. Mayans was even worse than SOA the last season just went in so many dumb directions first EZ murders his ex to protect his brother then they kill EZ and his pregnant g/f right before the fbi stomps all of them out

Best part of the finale was watching any hopes of a spinoff get murdered by feds

At least EZ's brother got out.

Are you talking about the ATF guy from S1 (who played Dutch on The Shield)? I was always under the impression he quit the ATF because of how obsessed he was with following Tara from Chicago to Cali.

While I enjoy SOA/Mayans for what they are, they definitely have eye rolling moments. Biker crews that can take on professional mercs, cartel, FBI, private agents, international orgs and with ease at times. They kill so many people and just simply get away with it, no way Unser was covering up that much lol.

I also appreciated the Ron Perlman/Clay performance more on rewatch, hes such a good terrible person. One of my favorite scenes is when he's in bad health on oxygen struggling to move, then cuts to him secretly lifting heavy weights and looking massive trying to pull one last fast one on everyone.

I watched a few episodes, could never take it serious. It has nothing on The Sopranos

Yeah that's the one. I thought I remembered him talking to the police chief or sheriff about his case but I can't recall specifics. It's been awhile.

Ron Perlman single handedly made the show a success in the first 2 seasons and not just a cringe fest of playacting actors. Everyone else felt like a cosplay event visitor but him. He was outstanding! Then they just infused soap opera and recycled the plotlines every season. From S3 on it was a guilty pleasure like watching colombian Telenovelas with Julio the postman having an affair with Princess Donna III .

The show was basically a vehicle for the lead writer to compensate his insecurities. Thats why he wrote himself the super badass Otto (how pathetic do you have to be as a writer to be that attention seeking(. And pushed his wife into every possible storyline.

I actually watched all seasons but I d say around S3 we changed our approach from watching a fun crime drama to enjoy the trash comedy aspect of it like Jax walking around like Ronnie Coleman (he was so bad at being badass like him just smoking a cigarette you could see the insecure youth wanting to be badass) , the idea anyone would find Katy Seagal attractive , the chase scenes were they would "chase" each other with 20mph<lmao>, or the shootout scenes were they would be 10 meters away from each other (most fun their ambush on the mayans) and not hit anything. It was a hilarious bad show of try hards you could enjoy as pure unplanned comedy of "masculinity" by .

The perfect ending would have been a 14 year old boy waking up from his SOA dream in batman pyjamas with a patched vest from Walmart on the stool for their haloween party he was the other night as a "biker". If you watch the show just order pizza, drink some alcohol and enjoy the trash aspect of it.

Never made sense to me that a surgeon and a international gun runner lived like white trash. Her income alone would have them in a mansion and driving a Bentley in that shit-hole town.
