I have no doubt. I just bet he looked almost like a caricature living an era when the average height and weight of a man was 5'5" 145lbs.

I remember watching Liston on "Love American Style". It showed a different side of Sonny, and much like his protegee Foreman (who also did Sanford and Son, SNL, etc..), seemed like he had a good sense of humor and could laugh at himself regardless of his public image.

I've seen in a few documentaries that Liston was very kind to young kids, to the point where his neighbors children would call him Uncle Teddy Bear, which contradicts his image.

Fist measurements aside, I think Ali's waist at 34 and even Liston's of 36 at 220 BW is kind or pretty slim.
I wonder how many of today's HW can meet that criteria?

ya, most fighters try to keep trim, the I think Ali's waste was about 32 or so at the time a reporter was taking a bunch of pics which for years later he put into book form, the author made mention of the fact that although he only weighed 140 pounds, his waist size was the same as Ali's. Hopkins has bragged about his 27 inch waist and all I can say is that it looks tiny, freakishly small considering his age and his height. Bruce Lee had a 26 inch waist but he was only 5-7 and he was a tiny man.

Manny's reach is about 67 inches if i'm correctly, if you have a reach of 67 inches while being 6'4 you have some serious T-rex arms.

Then wlad has trex arms too because he is around 6'7 and his arms are only slightly longer than mine.
