Something strange I noticed about the Costa/Hall fight..

The first round went very long with the multiple groin strikes from Paulo. By the time the round ended it was about 9:48 EST (12 minutes before the PPV is scheduled to begin). At the beginning of the 2nd round Anik says "We're getting set for the final round.." then corrects himself (I'm like hmmm..that was odd). Then Costa finishes Hall at 9:57 EST, just enough time to get the PPV started..

The shots that Costa finished Hall with were shots Uriah was eating the whole fight. Yes they were hard, and yes they could of finished a lot of guys. I just found it real convenient that Hall was finished with enough time to get the PPV started. What would of happened if the fight ran over its scheduled time slot?

I'm not saying it was fixed. It just made me suspicious, and seemed like quite a coincidence. The only other fight in the UFC that made me feel that was was Big Nog vs Heath Herring at UFC 73..

So what do you think Sherdog, am I some tinfoil hat wearing lunatic?

I did notice that it was very close to the scheduled end of the prelims. If they had gone to a 3rd Rd they would have run over into the main show.

Yeah it's pretty stupid but I've actually had similar thoughts sometimes. For example Mighty Mouse vs Benavidez 2 was about to go past the scheduled time and MM knocked him out in rd 1. Also MM was saying he was going to knock him out yet he wasn't known for having ko power. Then I thought they let MM vs Horiguchi go past 5 minutes so DJ could get the sub. It went on for like 13 seconds after the 10 second clapper went off.
