Its insane that people seem to have already basically forgotten that this happened.

Considering the extent of Trump's injury is that of a bad ouchie which may not even been caused by a bullet and the shooter's skin in the political game is about as deep as the guy's who shot Reagan over Jodie Foster it is kind of not surprising. What's funny is how some people still think this will have any impact on the election.

SS incompetence lead to someone being killed, 2 injured, and a presidential candidate almost being assassinated. It’s certainly worthy of a lingering story that demands answers. It shouldn’t reflect on either candidate nor influence the election. It is a story.

It is certainly noteworthy and something worth investigating as a tragedy was invilved. But how many instances have there been of mass shooters where stuff like multiple children being killed and people forgot about it the next week. Yes an investigation of the matter is absolutely necessary, but people lose interest in things quickly when there is no longer a political angle. SS incompetence is not wholeheartedly political unless you are spamming DEI. And when I say political I mean strictly in a left/right political sense.

Believe me, I agree this isn’t necessarily a political angle, but I understand there being more eyes on this given the setting and the parties involved, and the colossal failure of a high profile, previously respected government agency. I still want to know more and not because I think there was a plot to kill trump.
