I talked a gang of shit on here about Conor and rightfully so, he deserves it after acting like an ass--or gazelle depending on where you're from. But after the fight and laughing at my Uncle for betting me on this fight, I actually gained some respect for Conor. I've always liked his technical approach to the sport, his attittude(somewhat), and his stand up style but was tired of the hype bs, the favoritism, and the lack of competition he was facing. After the fight he bowed down like a true martial artist and admitted defeat and didn't act like a bitch--other than the excuses--and I personally became a fan of his. Wait, fan is a strong word, let's just say an admirer of his lol.

Humble pie only tastes bitter when they can't admit that they have to eat it. Although it feels good to rub it in his fan's faces lol.

His skills are amazing but I will never be a fan.

He became delusional much like his nuthuggers but you have to respect his warrior spirit and his approach to the sport.

McGregor will be back. He is still an elite striker, he just hasn't got that aura of invincibility anymore.

But people who say that the hype is over? Well, maybe. But what if McGregor starches Edgar, destroys Aldo again, and then asks for a 155 title shot? The hype would be back to an extent, though not as much as if he had won tonight. People are saying that RDA destroys him, and maybe they're right. But I know one thing, McGregor landed some absolute bombs on Diaz tonight, and Diaz has literally one of the best chins in MMA. There's nothing to say that one of those bombs landing on RDA wouldn't knock him dead, so I wouldn't be so sure to say that RDA destroys Conor.

In the words of Billy Joel, "You may be right", and hope we can see. I enjoy all aspects of MMA and respect these men and women for doing what I cannot/will not/did not lol. On with the show I say!

Yea humble pie is not so bad when its not being forced, the attitude he had after the fight and the press conference is the kind of attitude you will need to get past that mental block of losing and self doubt

Or you may just be one of the many delusional nuthuggers. Thxkbye

Basically the reasons I did not like him either, but I changed my tune towards him. I don't by any means worship him or call him "King" and stuff like this, He's not a scrub, he is mouthy, but it's the fight business and he has to sell himself and make money, Ali did it, Tyson... I can go on and on, and that's what it's about!!

of course being a sports man and martial art practitioner is great, but not everyone can be like GSP, and have people care about them without trying to sell themselves, of course you will have small hardcore fanbase, but if you ever want to make crazy money and have any kind of leverage during contract negotiations with promoters who want to pay you a hotdog and a pepsi, you have to market yourself correctly, whatever you have to do to achieve it... do it!

whether you hate or love the fighter you are still talking about them, you are mentioning them and of course tuning in to watch them get their asses kicked or the opposite, when you are impartial and don't care is when there's a problem.

He's a smart guy and I'm entertained by him.
