Early Weigh ins were made to give fighters more time to rehydrate before the fight decreasing the long term impact of damage taken during a fight.

The problem is people are missing weight more so now because it's harder to cut weight in the morning. It was easier to cut weight when they had nearly the whole day to do so.

The solution is to move the weigh ins to thursday evening which gives fighters the whole day to cut weight and even more time to rehydrate.

this should solve the entire problem.

How about banning dehydration altogether?

Unfortunately, there is no perfect system for weight cutting otherwise it'd be in place. On fight night they want the fairest possible scenario (Size) between 2 fighters.People don't realize how quickly and how much water weight fighters get back after weigh-ins.They systematically dehydrate themselves a week, week and a half out and put most of it back on in a short period of time.
