I'm no Tim Kennedy stan, but I'm not sure why you would talk about his reserve service as some kind of a downgrade. Many Reservists (and National Guardsmen) are on indefinite active status and attached to active duty units. Thanks to TFI, you'd be hard pressed to find a standalone reserve unit; they're all mixed in with active duty, which means they train and deploy together. Reservists also don't have to transfer or PCS like their active duty counterparts, so they act as the continuity while the other folks cycle through every few years.

Sure, you have the weekend warriors who do their minimum obligation and punch out after 1 enlistment without ever really becoming proficient at their job, but there's plenty of dirtbags on active duty who aren't worth a shit, either.

Being a national guardsman is the least of Tim's transgressions. This isn't the original Rambo movie. I have no clue why the cowardly, inept, clumsy reservist trope persists in 2026.
I served overseas with NGs who were on 20 month Blackhawk deployments in Iraq 2006-8. The Guard gets fucked hard. Don’t try and lecture me punk. I put in 20 with mostly joint service ops. Fuck outta here🖕🤡👠

You all seen this shit.

Special forces Can grabs Yoel's glove and uses that to almost finish him before the bell rings.

Rightfully Yoel uses some harmless skullduggery back by taking more time on the stool, and then beats Tim Kennedy's ass after fully recovering.

But of course Tim whines and cries in the back while completley ignoring the fact that he grabbed the glove.

Who is in the right here/?!??!

Also look at how they look now!

By your assement a little cheating is 100% OK on Yoel's part but not on Tim's part. So regardless of who is right or wrong how can you call Tim a "Can" when he was seconds from KOing your "Sexual Tyrannosaurus"?

As for the poll. I voted "No for Gay Jesus".

No my assessment is that if you cheat and someone cheats back then STFU and take it like a man.

He was a can for using the glove grab to achieve the damage, rather than fighting under the agreed upon unified rules.

Eh, I give Tim props for beating guys like Melvin, Robbie, Bisping, nearly finishing Yoel etc. and being able to juggle multiple roles in his life. Yoel was a valuable sportsman since youth, Tim was just an overachiever.

As for his army stories, I can understand why the US sherbros might feel more strongly about it, but I was never interested.

Tim Kennedy is a certified liar, so for the sake of ethics, he's automatically in the wrong.
Pretty much. He was so pissed at Yoel sitting for an extra 20 to 30 seconds, yet he was grabbing Yoel's glove to be able to hit him over and over again. He's just pissed that his cheating didn't give him the win.

Exactly, he can't complain about someone else cheating (when in reality it was the refs job to kick Yoel off the stool), while he was grabbing Romero's glove so he couldn't defend himself.

Tim lit him up following that glove grab, but couldn’t seal the deal. The way he pleaded with Romero after the fight about the whole stool thing was kinda weird and desperate. It’s out there if you want to watch it.

Uncle Shael is a buffoon, but on one thing, he is correct. When a fighter thinks that he has won due to a technicality or erroneous stoppage, there’s a mental release that happens where it’s hard to get back into that fighting mindset if said decision is reversed.

I agree.

Anderson vs Bisping is a good example too. He fucked himself by trying to con the ref.

Has Tim ever mentioned a word on the glove grab

I def gotta give Yoel here the rightness

Tim cheated first and worse. Tim got the same rest. He was mad though while Yoel chilled. So that tired him. Cause he cheated. Oliviera cheated too vs Dustin to get a position and spent the round on top.

Kennedy cheated his ass off in that fight I was pleased to see him get slumped and left in a pile after.

And Yoel did nothing wrong. It was the UFC cutman and the commission who fucked up. They told Yoel to stay seated and he did
