Ok firstly Nate obviously has a higher body fat percentage this fight, but he pretty much had an eight pack last fight. He still has the same strong core as that doesn't all of a suddenly turn soft, you can even still see his massive obliques.

Why do you think Conor keeps saying he has a soft mid section? Its not just trash talk either because he mentions it in interviews as Nates weakness.

It is Conor making use of the lack of knowledge of 75% of the fans. It also is part of the mental warfare of Conor.

Working hard to insert that little seed of doubt into nate's mind, like with previous opponents.

Meaningless, only used by McGregor because Diaz's physique isn't the same as Conor's and doesn't have quite as low of a body fat percentage. It's rubbish trash talk. Conor has made several funny comments targeting Nate, that is not one of them.

the whole 'soft body' and 'skinny fat' lines seem a bit silly to me. expected him to have worked up something better than that

To me Conors best weapons are his kicks to the body and his left hand. The kicks to the body really take your energy from you and get you to lower your hands for that big left hand of his.

half of Ireland is skinny fat whereas in the US we are just fat fat

Just because he was lean in the last fight and has a six pack it does not mean he has a strong core. He's a skinny fat boy and has turned up in poor shape on more than one occasion. Just Conor saying he's a bum that doesn't train as hard his he does (not many do)

Its a given he has a strong core. Not even debatable. Dudes been grappling since he was a teen.

Conor is just Googling the word "Cholo" and coming up with the characteristics. Rehearsed schtick.

I expected him to produce some scientific evidence such as that weed increases estrogen levels...

The body weakness theory comes from left field and is bullshit IMO.

Let's dig this thread up after the fight and see how Conor delivered on his threats to break Nate's body.

Bingo! Let's have a look at Fedor's career... hmm...

This is southpaw vs southpaw. Conor will not be landing many of his usual straight line kicks unless Nate inexplicably opens up his stance as he walks forward. And Conor just does not have a roundhouse. Also, anytime that Conor throws kick, he is rooting himself in place so if that kick misses, Nate is on him, possibly tying him up and dragging him down. I think that Conor should be conservative with kicks. He can't afford to go to the ground with Nate.

He could try to dig at the body with punches but that is risky against Nate, who is one of the best boxers in the division.

Nate has never looked cut, even at his last fight where he was the most cut hes ever been. He just doesnt have the body type that has a lot of muscle.
