We've seen this script a number of times. Bellator is cusp, wsof will be next. The question is how long does it take for bellator to bury itself so some guys like MVP, shlemenko, mcgeary, King mo, pitbull, Chandler, etc can get there shot and add to the UFC stock?

I don't know that they do or even should. Healthy competition it good and I get to watch more fighting.

They are not a threat. Did you already forget about about dodo5k vs kimbo?

MVP is a can killer and bellator are no threat to the UFC.

Possibly the other way around but unless Bellator is hemorrhaging money, there is no way a company worth 25+ billion, sells a profitable property to a company worth a little more than 1 billion. More likely the UFC gets sold to Viacom for 2 billion and then rebrand Bellator as the UFC. I could see it happening when the UFC's deal with Fox is up.

Zuffa is worth <$2Bil. Viacom has over $25Bil in assets. They could operate bellator at a loss for years while they build it into something competetive. If anything, Viacom will buy UFC.

Zuffa is a lemonade stand compared to Viacom. The puke who runs CBS would bitch slap Lori and Dana.

i dont think the UFC will buy bellator but large cap companies spin off subsidiaries to smaller companies all the time. even large companies sometimes need cash infusions or are just realigning their strategic goals. Viacom had 2.5 billion cash in 2013, 1 billion in 2014 and 500 million in 2015. i dont know the situation of viacom but i know some TV companies are struggling to adjust to the decrease in cable subscriptions and move to streaming.

and smaller companies often buy much larger companies as well. google leveraged buy outs.

Never. Viacom are much ricer than Zuffa. Viacom could buy Zuffa if they really were bothered.

Like I said, if Bellator isn't working for them, I could see it but I think Viacom sees a huge future in this sport and wants to make money off of that.

Leveraged buy out ? They wouldn't be buying Viacom , only Bellator if it did ever happen .

i never said they would buy viacom. i was just stating that smaller companies do buy bigger companies sometimes.

I don't think the UFC wants Bellator. I'm wondering when the Chinese are going to buy the UFC. Didn't they offer 3-6 times the value of the company?
The Fertitas are business men. Selling is the correct business move.
Bust out the chopsticks boys!
