I have Dricus being better everywhere, more power, stronger, etc and he's got Sean shook after the abusive dad comments. I don't see how Sean takes this one unless he Homer Simpson's his way into deep waters where Du Plissis gases and Sean takes a decision.

Will gladly eat crow and revisit if Sean KOs him in the first or otherwise dominates from pole to post.

DDP fights on the outside and lunges in, Strickland fights on the inside and his defence is great, I see Strickland blanket pressure fend off the DDP looping shots to a decision. I think if Strickland fends him off in the first 2x rounds it’ll be a classic Strickland win

Controlling the range and punishing DDP whenever he tries to get in, defending the takedowns and doing a lot of lateral movements.
being with his back against the cage could help to keep standing but I thinks it is pretty exhaustive and is somewhat vulnerable to trips, so avoiding it is the better option for him (Like Edwards did against Usman III)

I thinks Sean's power is underrated, specially after Cannonier figth. I think he Knocked Down his last 3 opponents. I dont know what he learn, but it has been effective.

I can see DDP being dropped if he throws his caution through the window too early.

DDP path to win is more clear tbh.
Punching Strickland in his fucking face or ragdolling him on the ground.

DDP’s best chance is to combine blitzes with takedowns (like Usman did) and win via tko on the feet or ground. There’s a good chance that this happens.

That said, despite Usmans limited arsenal (on the the feet, striking), his combination of precision, timing and reach overshadows DDP’s striking abilities. Therefore, unless he takes him down easily, DDP will look bad, pedestrian, or decent—at best—until he gets the finish.

If Strickland wins, he’ll stop every takedown and outland DDP throughout the fight. Both will look like amateurs (even though they’re actually great fighters) because half the time Sean’s parrying looks like a pro boxer and the other half he almost looks like he doesn’t know how to fight.

So What's Sean's Path To Victory?​

- Survive the aggression and power of Dricus in first 3 rounds, win a round (or two) if possible of the first 3, and then trust that Dricus's cardio fades and the Seth Efrikan slows down, and Sean could survive to the end and get a Decision victory.

I do not believe Sean has much hope at all of a KO or sub win, his best chance BY FAR is to go for a points win after the full 5.

Big questions :
1) ....CAN Dricus go hard for 5 rounds? there are some major doubts on that.
2) CAN Sean survive what will undoubtedly be an onslaught at times by Dricus in the early rounds. Pereira caught him and Dricus can too.
3) Dricus's coach talked in an embedded episode of "we have a bit of a surprise for Sean" (paraphrased) and I am wondering what that is.... MAYBE Dricus is going to shoot more takedowns than expected and try to GnP Sean? VERY POSSIBLE. Or maybe Dricus has been honing his sub techniques.... he has plenty of submissions wins on his tally.
