So what ever happened to the Tapout guys?

I dont care why they did it,I still didnt like them. Those guys were clowns. So what they made money doing it,that doesnt mean I have to give a shit.

i dont understand the jelly hate. all they did was peacock themselves to a 10 to get free advertising on tv to get their brand out. they are millionaires now. brilliant marketers they were...

I said they were smart. Sorry I aint blowin em for that.

The people attracted to their brand made me question reality. But to put it in context, their stuff was actually tasteful compared to all the other ridiculous shit people wore.

look, i have been watching ufc since the first one. I had plenty of time to think about selling tshirts with a few letters on it, and dressing crazy to get attention. BUT i didnt, because im an idiot, and now i have to keep working, and they are millionaires. All is not lost, because i can still bang hot 18 year old women in mexico:D Bottom line, i admire the guys for what they did. you guys are too young to see it.

Glad im not the only one that didnt like them.

well i see tapout shirts in walmart nowadays so obviously the company is still around. don't know much more than that.

What was / is tapout anyway? Is it just those awful t shirts, or is it a gym or something?

... you guys are too young to see it.

Absolutely, I remember early 2000s, when 'full contact fighter' was the main sponsor for fighters. Tapout came onto the scene and gave fighters free gear and paid them. That's huge for the beginning of the sport. Please appreciate that, newer fans

Even on the show it was clear how excited and appreciative the younger fighters were. Also, in the premanager days, tap out was calling fighters and offering them cash to wear their gear before a pride, ufc, king of the cage event.

Also, they are rumored to have signed a deal with WWE. that's huge quantities of units with constant live events for merchandise sales, in other words..$$

This is all that's wrong the UFC, just bring back remaining TapoutT guys and we're good.

They sold out back in WEC days as soon as Mask was gone and they found a buyer. They still work for Tapout.

Glad im not the only one that didnt like them.

They annoyed me. Good for them for making money and not hurting anyone doing it, but it was irritating in the old PPVs when they were hurting for celebrities in the crowd so they would pan over to "The Tapout Crew" acting like Juggalos at a frat party.

And they were hands down the worst part of Warrior. I get their names mixed up, but they actually thought it would add credibility with real MMA viewers to have constant reaction shots from that dude with the big afro.

Anyway, hardly the end of the world, but I got tired of them.

I never had a problem with Tapout gear, I liked it. What I couldn't stand were some of the douches attached to them, "U tren UFC brah?" As far as the guys were, they were characters, not someone I would typically hang out with, but that's who they were. They were there in the old days of the UFC, had a good relationship with them, and then I don't know. Didn't know they sold the company and didn't know they were exclusive to WWE. Weird shit. I dunno, sometimes I feel Dana/UFC is burning bridges for all the wrong reasons.

miss their old show. seeing cerrone come from there to where he is now is cool. seeing matt major getting served after challenging a smaller fighter to a parking lot beating etc. good times.

All I remember about that Tapout show was within the first few minuted they sais something along the lines of 'the money, the girls, the glamour, everything MMA is all about' and I turned it off.

Can't have a Tapout thread without this obligatory video

That's the most cringe-worthy thing I've ever seen. Even chuck looked embarrassed.
