So UFC 200 is ruined by Dana and Conor's personal business

Conor wants the rematch for obvious reasons, and Dana is more obvious, money and to get the hypetrain back on track.
I would never guess this a year ago when every other week or so, somebody made a treat about UFC 200 and a lot of good suggestions and superfights were discussed,just to come down to a personal business to headline the card.
I am not suprised do,we all know how Dana is .

Yes, it's a bit fucked up. Conor vs Edgar/Aldo, Diaz vs RDA2/Lawler would have made much more sense and still bring a shitload of buys. Diaz beat him clearly the first fight, don't see it changing much the second fight, except more slaps and confidence.

UFC 200 is looking good. Diaz/McGregor is an exciting rematch. Can't wait to see what both look like now with better preparation. I personally would have had Conor vacate the FW title if he was desperate for a rematch so Aldo/Edgar was for the real thing.

Fact is, Conor and nate are the biggest stars in MMA right now. UFC 200 desperately needed a main event where both guys could hold their own in media attention and Frankie just could not compete with Nate on that ground, so Conor vs. Diaz is preferable to Frankie vs. Conor from a business standpoint. This is obvious to everyone by now and people who are still complaining are really get on a lot of people's tits.

It would not have brought nearly as many as the Diaz/McGregor rematch. You can't have a guy like Edgar who is a great fighter but a boring personality headline your biggest event against a guy he has no drama with. Diaz/McGregor makes perfect sense.

If Diaz dominated from start to finish, you'd have a point, but we all saw Conor winning the first 7 minutes of the fight, so you don't.

Rampage v a can

Lawlor fight a decent contender

And Holly fight a tomato can.


And 200 would of been the greatest card ever following the thinking on here. THAT AND Would Saved Dana millions.

Nonsense. Edgar/McGregor would be the most underwhelming main event of a massive card ever. Frankie is a great fighter but not a personality. He doesn't create drama. There would be little to no excitement going into that fight. A guy like him needs the allure of MSG to get his star to shine as brightly as possible. Compare that to both Diaz and McGregor who are massive personalities, exciting fighters to watch, and between whom there is real drama.

All those of you complaining are demonstrating is (1) how much you like to complain, and (2) how hopeless you are in understanding how to put together exciting events.

Every one of you that is complaining about it being a let down offer as alternative Edgar/McGregor as the main event... How bloody dull and predictable can you get?

I gotta disagree with you here. I like Diaz, but a win over McGregor is not reason enough to get a title shot at LW or WW (especially since he's never won a fight at that weight class against a welterweight).
