So this is why Amanda tapped so fast--secret new choke

Given the odds, it’s more likely that Nunes placed a huge bet on Pena…

“Amanda if you were to somehow lose the title, the rematch would be huge, it’ll elevate your GOATness if you avenge the loss and ride off into the sunset”

Seen that at UFC 4 thank you very much . new lol

Meh. Not buyin' it.

Val is ripe for a big upset too

Some people just get tired and quit. End of story. Nunes had already lost before LOL - she's just lucky that Womens MMA is such that runs can happen that make you look like 'the greatest of all time' when you're not.

Why do people think this is so outlandish? I've invented a secret way to make people give up and quit anything they're doing, even right in the middle of doing it.

It only works on millennials, though.
What is it I want to KNOW.

At 3:01, Peña landed four straight jabs that hurt Nunes. Peña then followed with a big, four-punch combination that pushed Nunes back toward the cage. Peña kept throwing punches and Nunes initiated a clinch to slow things down. Peña pushed Nunes against the cage, landed a knee to the body and took Nunes down at 3:15 with a well-executed trip from the bodylock position. Seven seconds later, Peña had Nunes' back with Nunes in a turtle position, and wrapped her left arm across Nunes' neck.

(Coach Rick) Little: "This sounds crazy, but we have a choke we've been working on and I knew if [Nunes] gave up her back, it was going to be a wrap. It's a hybrid rear-naked choke and it cuts your throat, man. It's nasty. It's a nasty windpipe choke. If you're sucking wind, it's bad. It feels like your head is going to pop off. ... We're tearing at the chin and the choke is more elongating the neck than choking the neck. We want forward pressure. The choke was perfect."

You guys can stop bashing Nunes now. It was a nasty new secret choke that no-one can withstand.

that was the worst display of fighting quality i ever witnessed , pena isnt worth shit, her standup is just ridiculous bad , her footwork non existance. i just dont understand her striking, no technique, nothing

standard drunk sherdogger will fuck her up and now out of a sudden she beat the champ by choking her out with a new wave hybrid shit and she is a hero

that was some cindy dandois shit

All jokes aside, the description sounds like it could be dangerous. Which leads me to my question, should techniques or new ones at that be used without some sort of approval by a commision? I mean, i know there were some moves that have been deemed illegal, but I wonder what would happen if a new move/technique really hurt/killed someone that was never seen by anyone including commisions.

Why is it that people keep talking about her hurting nunes with jabs, and not the constant overhand rights that followed them? Just because Rogan is blind you don't have to be also.

shit they have been doing in Brazil for 50 years, Americans who don't know the difference just say hey I invented a new move. LMAO. Idiots....

I dont think anybody has prove of it. Its quiete obvious something happened to Amanda, because she didnt show up at all. This wasnt a loss like Holm vs Ronda where the one fighter was clearly better, this wasnt like GSP Serra where she just got fluke koed, it wasnt even like Conor Nate 1 where Nate just outworked Conor. No, Nunes for some reason wasnt able to even dodgee or block a simple jab, gave up.her Back without fighting and tapped instantly with a simple air choke.

If she wasnt ill or in any other way comprimised, it makes you kinda suspicious.
It was fixed. Clear as day. You do not suddenly lose the ability to move your head and stand there like an idiot eating jabs. It is beyond reason.

Remember we have a women gymnast who has been named athlete of the year for making it to Olympics and quitting on her team. So If Nunes was having anxiety or she "just couldn't compete" she is a hero. that shit was embarrassing...

Well we know Nunes gag reflex isn't well honed, so I guess it makes sense.

Nunes split with her friend, who made a million in that fight.
As silly as this might seem, I keep going back to the same question. It almost seems more plausible than Nunes regressing 7 years in terms of mentality and durability...

Sure, I missed the fact she had not been 135 for a long time, but damn, does that make you throw years of learning out the window? All she had to do was to be more patient and controlled and she could easily get a decision. Instead, she seemed to be chasing the loss by insisting on engaging in the most stupid of ways and finally getting herself in a position to give up without any effort.

I was almost calling myself her fan, but now
<DisgustingHHH>.

She needs to ditch the baby and go bang some random sluts to get that hunger back.

That was not the lioness we saw in the cage, that was a soccer mom.
