Conor got exposed badly by Diaz, and the UFC (being Conor's bitch and all) are thinking of a rematch at 170lbs ?

How about Conor be made to sack up and defend his FW belt for the first time ?! And don't give me this BS about how the FW has been cleaned out.

Edgar, rematches with Aldo/Mendes/Holloway, Lamas, Stephens, Bermudez, and now Barao too. I'm sure I'm missing a few but he has plenty of people to fight in his own division. The UFC has become such a circus. Ronda gets a title shot after getting KTFO but Dillashaw loses by split decision and no rematch? Come on man.

There's no fucking consistency or logic in who fights who, which leads to a decrease in integrity.
 
This thread has been made before and it should keep getting made. When the UFC does something this stupid, this damaging to their reputation, this mind boggling retarded, there is little else to do then constantly ask what in the hell are they thinking.

Hell, the first fight didnt make sense, it was fun enough to work; now its just stupid, weight classes and belts be damned, eff the rankings and other fighters, lets do a rematch and maybe even a trilogy! Because Vegas and butterflies.
 
You've only touched the tip of the iceberg of the problem though. potentially conor is why lawler hasn't got a fight booked at ufc200, also if the winner of him vs nate gets the LW shot over t-ferg/khabib that could potentially be 3 divisions he'll be holding up.

Yup. Its getting ridiculous. As a Conor fan I would like to see him at least fight frankie and rematch Aldo. If he beats them both, then vacate and take time to bulk to around 185 and then fight 155. 170 should never be in the conversation.

Tj situation is a tragedy. Completely insane.

This common sense post is lost on Conor/UFC fanboys who discredited themselves with their short sightedness.
 
It's ridiculous how the UFC handles these situations many times. Guys are not getting their deserved title shots and the whole division is waiting, then you have these instant rematches with absolutely zero sense, and sometimes a contender needs to wait like a whole year for his deserved opportunity and eventually gets tricked by either some new more hyped and marketable guy getting the shot or having to fight for the title while not in a camp and if not, then ending up thrown under the bus by the president of the company because not accepting a fight without a proper preparation.

There are many matches we simply don't get to see because of this. Of course some champions prefer to fight 1-2 times a year but that's not the case here.

Personally I don't care if this isn't going to be a 100% legitimate sports ever but you have to find the golden middle ground. Going full WWE and favoring the few cash cows and slapping the others in their face isn't right. Wish the head of the company valued the martial arts more.

Respect for Conor for his bravery though, fighting Nate Diaz again is not a simple task of just changing the game plan. Nate is tremendous fighter on feet and on the ground, and stylistically very bad match up for Conor. I wish the UFC had the same bravery to make the Edgar fight.

He should evacuate the belt already!
Let Aldo, Frankie or Hollowayfight for that title because McG seems to enjoy fighting at every other weight class besides his weight class of 145.
