Absolutely huge Shogun fan here, but this is terribly odd.Can someone explain to me how Shogun has to withdraw from a fight in April but a couple if not a day later gets signed to fight Corey Anderson in May? Am I missing something?

Shogun you'd hope wouldn't be "ducking" anyone, never mind Rashad. I actually was going to put money on Shogun because he was a 2/1 underdog for this fight in the UK betting lines, WTF!? I actually thought he'd KO Rashad, I honestly think Evans is finished - but that's just me!
Shogun vs Anderson just reminds me of Shogun vs Ovince St. Preux again. Corey could lose that fight though, I don't see the finished article in that guy yet - solid wrestling, basic solid striking with no real second gear.
Shogun really has become the gatekeeper for these prospects eh, what a way for a legend to go...
Shogun has been fighting for so many years that he seems a lot older than he is. He's still relatively young in age, but the guy is finished at the top and that's the truth. One of the main things that made him a super dangerous opponent was his kicks, the guy cannot kick any more, his knees are busted and he honestly barely throws them at this stage. He's a brawler, with some decent ground skills, but when Chael is choking you out, it's over man.Eh, it's either retire or fight the young cubs. He's not anywhere near the title picture so he needs to go back of the rankings. I for one still think he has something left in the tank, not much but maybe one more push. I can't recall the fight though so my memory may but hazy but I thought Nog beat him. Mighta been the drugs. Corey isn't a finisher and he's young as hell so this is the perfect fight for Shogun. If he wins he's still relevant, if he losses a decision or worse a finish to Anderson it might be time to call it a day.
