It looks like the ufc really want to market this guy after his last big win but almost all of ranked FW is booked and Yair fired, there's only Frankie (probably too big a step up), Emmitt (probably the best option for 227), and sung jung (is he still injured). It's gotta be one of the 3 or they make zabit take a step back in compitition.
Thoughts?
 
How bout Jason Knight if he wins his next fight? Dude is on a 2 fight skid but he's still a dangerous opponent. Love me some Hick Diaz
 
Beating Frankie could instantly get him a title shot. But yeah it may be a bit too early as he needs more experience and need to work on making his gas tank better.
 
Renato Carneiro or maybe Cub, even though he's coming off the Frankie loss. Although it wasn't a complete demolition and Cub doesn't mind fighting up and comers.

Maybe they should match him up with Doo Ho Choi, also on a 2 fight skid. Hate to see either go on a 3 fight skid, but would be a fun fight probably.
 
well, he just beat Yair via forfeit so I say title shot :D

He's close friends and training partners with Frankie, I doubt he'd fight him. Zabit vs Emmett seems like the only viable fight.

we'll see how things settle after Yair. Some duckers might be more available.

Zabit is coached by Mark Henry and trains with Edgar and Alvarez

Mark Henry says that Zabit is one of the greatest talents he's ever seen or coached

That's pretty fucking wild to think about

Frankie Edgar couldn't rave about Zabit more

I don't blame Yair one bit for turning down Zabit

Emitt had some serious injuries, from his last fight. He had to have emergency surgery and half of his face is still numb. He won’t be fighting in the near future.

I say Zabit/Emmett..,punishment for Emmett missing weight against Lamas.
