    Minakov 21-0 (19 finishes)
    6'2'' 250lbs

    Bellator 216

    MVP Vs Daley

Welterweight Michael Page vs. Paul Daley [a]
Heavyweight Cheick Kongo vs. Vitaly Minakov #2
Heavyweight Mirko Cro Cop vs. Roy Nelson #2
Welterweight Yarsalvo Amosov vs Erick Silva

I don't get why they do 2 useless rematch tho
Minakov vs Cro Cop is still main event worthy for Bellator imo.

Was hoping for him to sign with the UFC tbh,
I think he's aTop 5 HW in the world right now.

    anyway, discuss.

Isn't he just fighting out his contract? No guarantee he fights for the UFC after his contract runs out but finishing his current deal gives him a bit of flexibility.

Minakov-Cro Cop would be fun if they both pick up wins on this card

I didn't it was to end is contract, good thing for him then.

1 year+ of inactivity isn't great for any fighter tbh.

I'm hoping he stays relatively active, I think he has 3-4 fights left on his contract before he can hit free agency

He had money issues with Bellator.

Now he is fighting Kongo (who should have been in the GP instead of his boyfriend Rampage) to determine who fights the winner of Fedor vs Bader for the title.

    Minakov champ 2019. Undefeated, undisputed.

If Fedor could win Vs Bader (doubt it, but still)

Fedor Vs Minakov would become the biggest fight possible outside the UFC.

Could even be a PPV for them.

Yep, Kongo is on a solid run right now.

    (7 wins streak I think)

Including a win Vs Volkov who was one fight away from a title shot in the UFC.

Minakov is the best HW in the world, better than Cormier or Stipe

I wish there was a dislike button for posts like this. Dude is crazy overrated. Sloppy, out of shape, gasses quick and fights cans. No idea how you could make that claim.

Last night was insane. Brady is the most clutch person ever. Those 3 straight 3 and 10s in overtime, wow.
