It's tough to tell because Stipe has been out for so long at his age. Gun to my head I'd pick Jones because of that.

LOL, Stipe's been fighting more regularly than Jones.

Jones has ONE two-minute fight in four years, with zero competition, and now he's "fresher" than Stipe?

Meanwhile, Stipe had two serious fights with DC, and another one with Ngannou.

Jones also looks older and fatter than Stipe.

Stipe is actually the fresher, healthier man, leading a healthier lifestyle.

I’d love to see Stipe win, I always liked him as a fighter and a person, but it’s hard to see him beating Jones at this point in his career. It’s crazy that the best the HW division has to offer Jones is an old former champ who got brutally KO’d in his last fight, and a guy in Gane who is largely one dimensional. Like, what the hell happened to the HW division?

We as fans should reject this fight. Stipe is old and hasn’t fought in two years where he got brutally KO’d. He already got to sit on the sidelines for a year and get another title shot once. I respect the man but he needs to beat a contender, he’s only beaten DC in the past 5(!) years.

Yeah mate I feel the same. Its a shame Sergei and Curtis are booked to fight each other as I would love to see Jones vs either of these two. Even if he runs through both of them at least the build up would be exciting. Can't get excited about the old man Stipe match up at all

I see Stipe vs Jones as Stipe having a punchers chance, although not like Ngannou punchers chance. Ngannou has one punch Ko power. Stipe a better wrestler but wears down guys more than one punch KO.

Wrestling.
BJJ.

Stipe has better boxing, Not sure it Jones has better KO power at heavyweight.

I am about 65/35 favoring Jones, so close fight but I see more paths to Victory for Jones.
