it's kinda hilarious, and a little sad just how much guys who know LESS than most sherdoggers are able to weasel their way into being a professional fighter's coach/trainer.

i'm not even joking when i say i'd take a random sherdogger for my cornerman than some of these guys pro fighters use.

I swear MMA attracts some of the slimiest people in professional sports. And the worst part of it all is with these MMA fighters and fans buying into it.

I remember a time where people on Sherdog believed all of Mike Dolce and Edmonds garbage can quotes.

Here's my gut feeling on it: Fighters are susceptible to the same head games that they use as a part of their competitive make-up.

So any charismatic cat can conceal their unscrupulous behaviors behind a rockstar persona. And it works too often, they fleece fighters or give them bad advice that gets them hurt.

Fights have always been attended and ran by gangsters, and will probably always attract a certain cross section of morally questionable ppl with a great ability to read a room and talk the talk.

There is nothing new, Nicksick is one of the main coaches at Xtreme couture he was already working with him for the JDS fight. He is also coaching Dan Ige and Jessica Eye.

With Randy Couture specifically? If so, that's a wise move on Francis' part. Couture is not just an amazing fighter, he's an excellent teacher who really understands every aspect of MMA. Maybe NCAA Ngannou will be born tonight?
