So how does the Jon Jones saga end?

It's all good, same here. I didn't mean to come for you like that, just more so point out that this level of investment isn't mentally healthy. Was just in a bit of a toxic mood.

Although they were in fact threads. It Is what it is though, I'll leave that be, as mentioning it doesn't really add anything constructive.
You're fine, I've been here a while so I'm used to personal attacks. What good is an anonymous forum if you cant personally attack someone for their point of view. I've done it countess times.

IMO it has ended already with his TKO win over Stipe Miocic. He is just the champion until Tom Aspinall vs someone else (strong belief it's Poatan) starts as the bell rings... Likely, his name is being kept as still having the belt instead of him officially vacating due to keep it hanging until they announce Poatan fighting Tom... And ofc Tom,JJ, Alex, they all ought to know it and are just not commenting. The 6 months thing was likely a clue on when Tom will be fighting next... Which also fits in well with Ankalaev laying out the date for their rematch (Ankalaev likely knows of Poatan moving HW as well and it's just keeping it as if they were about to rematch).

Probably sit out till his HW reign becomes a record for the longest and boast about it online and retire after that

And probably do something stupid after that and appear on the news again and again

You say that

Yet anyone who does adhere to common group narratives is attacked by proxy

You're on the easy side bro.

Any post I make goes against a sea of haters, I willingly take on that energy

You take the easy route.

Islam vs Arman
Topuria vs Paddy, winner gets the next title shot.

A lot of times it's easy to make the right decision. There are reasons there's "a sea of people" who don't like Jones and don't like what he's doing to the HW division. The reasons have been listed over and over and over. If you want to white knight a proven scumbag on a karate forum then that's your choice, don't complain about it.

Therein lies the issue

Most who are capable of showing respect to Jones

Are those that separate the art from the artist

The others are so deeply entrenched in their dislike towards Jones as a result of his outside the cage antics, that it bleeds into their analysis of his skillset, career and credibility.

This is why most of you cannot be taken seriously, because all these threads and this obsession is just an extension of your dislike towards him as a person, whether you're aware of it or not.

Same goes for many unnamed posters, who all know who they are.

There's a reason why all the top fighters never hold these takes, they're the least biased and are capable of analyzing someone's talent and career without their personal life bleeding into things.

They're fair, most of you are not.

I'd bet my life savings that most who are on a similar side as yourself aren't actually martial artists or have even laced up gloves. Which should further illustrate who's actually on the side of truth.

Those who are this deeply invested in their hate are often those who've never actually done it.

Just because a lot of people agree about something, doesn't make it the truth

Many don't possess critical thought or personal agency, its very easy to align with the most common narrative because you see other people doing it.

Very few are capable of looking outside common hive mind narratives and thinking for themselves.

In many ways, these hate trains are very much like cults. The cognitive dissonance is very real and there's a strong unwillingness to acknowledge any points or truths that exist outside of commonly established talking points.

Even when I simply shed light on counter arguments, people will call it glazing, nuthugging or whatever the case may be. There is little room for actual thinking or any semblance of objectivity.

It's the worst kind of echo chamber. The kind that borders on outright delusion and cult like zeal.

We see it across all sports, Jones is simply one of many examples where emotionality trumps reason.

A man of reason does not make 70+ Jon Jones threads in a row. This is not a thinking person, it's a man fully entrenched in their emotions with little room for questioning.

It's all an unconscious extension of your dislike for his personal actions, to the point where you're willing to go to great lengths to make him look as bad as possible in every possible endeavor.

This is the reality of most extreme Jones hate. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, there's reasons to dislike Jones based on his actions, but if you aren't capable of separating his actions outside the cage from his career, you simply don't have an opinion that can be taken seriously, regardless of whether you have a horde of people who feel the same way or not.

Fights Tom or retires due to an injury in training. I think he’s hoping for the latter to happen.

Jones drops off the face of the earth and fakes his own death
rumors of him being spotted in Bhutan as a simple shop owner persist for decades after

It's funny watching you mouth breathers beg Jon to give up the belt by choice. UFC made this bed by wanting to use his big name in the heavyweight title picture to begin with. They can either pay him what he's worth or strip him and admit they would rather go with the cheaper option B, signaling the end of championships having any credibility.

IDK how the fuck his career ends but I guarantee, regardless of the terms, feathers will be ruffled.

There's no need to over think it. Jones was once good for the sport but now he's a sport killer. Jones is a crap human outside AND inside and even under the cage. There is much evidence to support that. In my opinion you can never separate the artist from the art but you can choose to do so if you want, just keep in mind he was already suspended and stripped of the belt three times for performance enhancing drugs and personal conduct. He's also an admitted and prolific cheater inside the cage as well. It's easy to see how his flawed personality has influenced his approach to competition. BTW I don't have '70+' Jon Jones threads lol but even if I did, it just means I pay attention to what's going on, most of them are news or analysis of news. You should go back and read them before you characterize them as hate threads
