I think he can do it. I hope he wins it and then retires. If he comes to UFC, he will have to endure some brutal beatings and it would just make me sad. He has nothing to prove and he is not even half the fighter he used to be.

What if the winner of Bader/Mo gets injured and Nelson beats Cro Cop to be the alternate and they rematch? Is Nelson a favorite over Fedor?
 
I don’t think Fedor will have any problems with Chael. It’s Mittrione he should be worried about. I still hope Fedor can pull it off.

Nelson has a solid chin and packs power. Fedor doesn't have a chin anymore and is easy to land on. Got to think Nelson would be the favourite. It probably wouldn't be that hard for Nelson to wear Fedor down physically too with his weight. Against Mitrione he's obviously an underdog too. Some people talk about how guys like Mitrione or Nelson are the same age as Fedor but Fedor was already the no.1 guy in the sport before they'd even had their debuts, and his body has taken a lot of wear and tear and he hasn't aged well at all as a result.
 
I can see him getting past a blown up 40 y.o MW in chael but he's gotta be an underdog against any similar sized HW as sad as it is to say. The man can't take a punch anymore. Mir dropped him with the very first punch he threw lol. Sad to see how hard he's fallen.

I would favor him because he still has a granite chin. I think it would be a sloppy slug fest with someone getting knocked out, and I think Fedor falls before Nelson does.
 
Fedor will sub Chael fast and hard.

Chael allready shit himself during staredown.

His cheap shit talk is nothing compared to Fedor's true Martial Artist's stoicism.


As for Final, he needs to prepare really well, both Mitrione and Bader are dangerous.

Bader is a big obstacle with the laughable TDD and ground game Matt showed last fight.

Yea I hear you, and I think Bader could take him down, but I don't think he could finish it, and I don't think he could keep him down for the entire fight. Mitrione is a legit HW and Bader isn't, and Bader has been cracked plenty of times. I mean, he got laid out by Tito on the feet. I don't think Bader can finish Mitrione, and I don't think he can hold him down for the entire fight before Mitriote cracks him. It will only take one good punch from Matt, and I think he lands it at some point.

Could be. Mitrione has been looking super fast and dangerous on the feet, and I think the shots he kept cracking Roy with would have ended the fight against anyone else. I just think he looked really rather helpless on the ground and seemed to gas pretty bad late in the fight. Bader is a huge LHW and can probably take Mitrione down nearly at will. For sure he could get caught by something and swarmed, but Bader is a serious test IMO.

Yea could be interesting. I'm picking Mitrione if they fight, but if anyone in this tourney could take him down and keep him there, it's Bader. All this is assuming Bader beats King Mo. Hopefully he does, because even if Bader is boring sometimes, he's nowhere near King Mo levels of boring.
 
Chael is going to get KO'ed back to the 16th century, to match his subpar skills.

For sure. Fortunately, I think Bader is a tough fight for Mo stylistically.
 
It's going to be Fedor vs Crocop in the finals.
