So Diaz (Nick) skips the media, gets pulled, basically blacklisted. But when Conor does it...

...that headlining spot is waiting for him and he gets rewarded?!

Dana gargles his balls so hard (he is the real problem, not Conor. Dana enables him big time). I like Conor as a fighter but he's coming off as a whiny sore loser recently. You can't play the whole big star card and reap the benefits then cry when the responsibilities of it fall onto you. Gonna be sweet ironic vindication if Nate finishes him again. He is obviously shook and in excuse mode already.

Biggest bullshit ever pulled by the UFC next to the Reebok deal. Stupid pointless rematch to begin with. But now I just want Nate to spoil it for Dana.

(the incident referred to w/ Nick was when he got pulled from fighting GSP the first time they were supposed to fight)

The UFC hasn't even replied to his last statement yet.

Conor got pulled too. Nick then went on to fight BJ and eventually fought GSP. When did he get blacklisted?

Edit: Nick went on to fight Condit***

I'll be amazed if they don't reinstate him since Dana would basically adopt him if he could.

My problem is more with UFC brass than w Conor, though he is a spoiled diva at this point.

Why is every Conor hater such a big crybaby? Seriously every post you guys make must have a stream of tears running down your cheeks.

Does blacklisted mean getting two title shots and fighting Anderson Silva in one of the biggest ppvs of the year?

Randy Quaid is doing it wrong.

Nick got a title shot in his next fight as a reward for skipping the media. Yea, they really blacklisted him.

fuckin Nick has been sayin this for years about he's paid to fight not to do press and that he always shows to fight but now everyone acts like McGregor is the pioneer of this fight over promote movement?! hop off this dude's nuts for once

TS needs to refresh his memory. Idiot thread.

Conor did so much publicity for his Aldo and 1st Diaz fights, that I'm totally fine with him being tired of doing it.

Yeah, so stupid why Dana is gargling those nuts. It's almost like Conor is bringing in the biggest PPVs we've seen since UFC 100 along with 10s of millions of dollars of revenue.

So dumb.

He should totally stop that shit and go back to PPV numbers he enjoyed in 2014...

Conor McGregor will not be on the 200 card. There is NO WAY Zuffa can save face if he is on that card. They will look like the biggest assholes on the planet. All for mere pocket change.

It's not happening.

Diaz did get to fight GSP eventually but not when it was first supposed to happen. At the time, he wasn't given the fight. and there's nothing official about being blacklisted, but if you think Nick got the same treatment for shirking media as Conor is getting you're insane. Dana criticizes Nick constantly for it but won't say a thing about Conor if it isn't praise.

I'm not disputing Conor brings plenty of people to watch, but it's going to cause problems when you have one employee basically doing whatever they want and getting away with it. He's setting a precedent that he calls the shots (Conor) - which is terrible from the perspective of UFC brass. It's a double standard.

Oh damn, good call.

Exactly, the fight with GSP did eventually happen but it was more in spite of all the BS Nick had to deal with following getting pulled from their original scheduled fight. I'm speculating here, but they would never do that to Conor.

You ever work for one of those...you know...corporations?

The guy that brings in 500k a year for a company gets more leeway than the guy who brings in 100k. Also, pretty girls get away with more shit than 170lb 4s and 5s from Walmart.

It's the way the world works sometimes...it's not fair but life rarely is.

There is a large spectrum between giving the employee no leeway and giving them free rein. The UFC should be willing to make some modest accommodations with the biggest star they've had in several years.

I also generally feel they should pay their fighters better before they lose any more to Bellator after their fighter-revenue-murdering Reebok deal.
