I don't think the fight should be stopped in that case. If the fighter thinks it was an eye poke, unless it's bad enough to make them want out of the fight, the only reason they would stop is because they thought they were fouled. As soon as Luque was told it was a legal strike he was willing to go right back into the fight. Calling the doctor in is questionable at that point once it's determined to be legal, but I don't agree that incorrectly believing you were fouled means you should lose.
Eye pokes are unique in that sometimes they are fouls and sometimes they aren't. Fingers are illegal, punches are not and a fighter can't always tell what it was. A groin strike is illegal all the time. A back of the head strike is legal in certain instances too but a fighter usually knows that in a scramble or a flurry exchange that it's deemed legal if they are moving around.
