So Alex sucks now?

1-3.

That's why.

1-1, that's also why.
If you beat me 2times in golf and we are tied 1-1 in a game of 1v1 basket ball does those golf matches merit another match?

Absolutely not!! They are different sports, that's the same in this case they are completely different sports.

Further alex got slept in less than 2 rds izzy lost with 2min to go in a fight he would have won a decision in. Alex needs at least 2 fight to get a rematch! It's always there let it marinate a bit.

If Alex is good enough he will be back, if not it ends with him losing it devastating fashion

Because a lot of people like bullshit rematches, and suddenly a lot of a MMA fans are also kickboxing fans who are happy for a guy to get multiple title shots on the back off three UFC fights.

Same people are probably cheering Nunez Vs Pena 3.

Izzy won… take a bit to enjoy the awesome win…

I like Alex and wanted him to win and hope he gets a rematch and wins, but damn, the guy looks so so awkward in the cage and stiff, maybe it's just his style but he still looks so green in the Octagon.

Remember how craaaap Wanderlei looked when he cut down to 185? How stiff he was?

Just might have something to do with that, he could probably afford more movement at 205 without getting drained in 2 rounds.

I got laughed at because i said Pereira plods forward, but he literally does, using size as his main weapon and saving energy he probably lacks.

There is a distinct possibility that Adesanya has Pereira completely figured out now, and that an immediate rematch won’t bring the results that frustrated Pereira fans are looking for. Careful what you wish for.

And Viceversa!

I actually think Adesanya would outpoint him in a rematch this time.

Stiff jabs and checking kicks and an ocasional right hand if the situation invites it.

Its always going to be a risky fight for him (Both actually)

Charity is what Masvidal had with Usman.. beating Till, Askren and Diaz on road to two title shots..

Periera beat Izzy twice in kickboxing, was a double weight champ, beat Strickland who was on a 6 fight win streak and Bruno Silva who is a vet in the game and was on a 3 fight win streak ending each fight by KO and is Bjj black belt..

To add on, I'm a bit confused by "the bell ringing right when he got his bell rung" being considered charity or the hometown referee comment(Goddard and Miragliotta). How is a round being completed after he got cracked charity?
And both those referees aren't Brazilian so how would they be considered hometown referees? Could you elaborate on these two things?

The 2nd kickboxing fight in Brazil. Standing 8 counts are pretty rare in modern kickboxing, usually when a fighter is rocked the fight just continues and its over
It was strange at the least that it was paused right there and then.

Thats a little detail I've mentioned a few times, that I've only had one poster reply back saying yep that was a little strange. For a fight forum, its also weird that none of you have watched any kickboxing.

So throw in a bit of conspiracy that it went like that cause it was in Brazil, and I'll call it charity.

And lol Izzy got the rematch for everything hes done over the last 4 years in the UFC, Alex hasn't done shit, hes arguably had everything handed to him.

I think most people here are only expecting 1 more Izzy and Alex fight.

Even though it's 3-1 overall, it's 1-1 in MMA, so do the rubber match and then it's settled.

For all the marbles.

<209Bitch>

Premise of the OP is flawed. Israel can lose in the meantime as well. The time to conclude the rivalry now while it's available, relevant and Alex is not 40. Strike while the iron's hot.

These fights are amazing and the third fight will be HUGE.

Israel has got much less of a chance of losing that Alex does, because Israel is the better fighter.

Why are his fans so intent on getting an immediate title rematch?

If he's the Poatan like you all claim, it should be no problem for him to climb his way back to title contention.

He's actually a good fighter. He doesn't need all this charity. He's had enough already. The hometown ref, the fast tracked to a title shot after 3 fights, the bell ringing right when he got his bell rung...

The details always elude the sherdoggers...

Izzy got the immediate rematch off him being the long time champ, having a crazy schedule, ducking no one, and putting on a close 5 round war with Alex. Its the privilege you get when you work your ass off for the UFC

Alex has been nothing but a charity case with everything handed to him, including an ass whopping culminating in being knocked out in front of the world.

Now he probably has to actually work for his title rematch, and that for some reason seems to terrify his fans.

If hes so good like you all claim he is, he can climb back into contention easy right?
He beat Izzy 3 times and still gave him an instant rematch. Pretty simple.

Alex does not suck. Just some shitty people out there that don't really appreciate the fighters & think they can do better themselves. You go fight Izzy & see how that plays out. I personally don't give a crap if they do or don't fight in a hurry. Let the dust settle. The pink goof will do what he wants, regardless of what people say. Just dumb down the dumbness is all I ask & appreciate what entertainment we get. Old school MMA fans know what I'm saying. Hespect!!

I mean you haven't realized by now how dumb the average poster on this forum is? They can barely form a sentence and yet have 50 words for the word old. If you're trying to gain any type of insight into a fight by smart people debating things like styles, injuries, reach, techniques, previous matches you're in the wrong place, they aren't smart enough. Their only social interactions are on Tik Tok so the only thing you can count on is these virgins to check every fighters age and that is the sole reason someone loses. Pereira lost because he is an ancient old man fossil uncle geriatic retirement home dinosaur.

I mean its super creepy, I read some post where some loser spent like 20 hours researching the age of every opponent Stipe fought, and that was the reason he won. Their winnings streaks, styles, injuries, records going into the fight meant nothing. So yes despite the fact Pereira was dominating Adesanya, had him seriously hurt, especially to the legs, and was about to finish him, Alex sucks now because Adesanya landed a punch so looping it went over his own head and exposed his chin so open it was almost embarrassing. And then they checked the age statistics and it added up so Pereira has no chance anymore.

You're kind of a dick, eh?

Well you made pretty clear in your OP that we were talking about the MMA bouts here, you're right in saying that it's a hometown referee too so I can't go against you there.

When did I say Izzy didn't deserve a rematch? I was fine with him getting it here.
For Pereira getting a trilogy match as the next fight for him, it seems you're not hearing my arguments for it. At the moment there's no one Izzy hasn't beaten within the top five at middleweight, he's 1-1 with Pereira, all their fights have been fire so a third fight is easily marketable and the division doesn't have a clear number one contender.

There's overall a lot leeway at middleweight for fights like this due to the lack of proper contenders for Izzy, the only other guy available is DDP which Izzy will most likely fight next since Pereira isn't gonna come back until later around fall time after a bad KO loss like that, but after that fight(assuming Izzy wins) I wouldn't mind the trilogy fight to finish off the year.

At the end of the day I don't think Pereira needs a win to get that trilogy fight, but I wouldn't be upset if the UFC wanted him to beat another top guy before fighting Izzy again. That being said, unless middleweight starts getting a bunch of new contenders Izzy hasn't beaten yet within a few months from now which doesn't seem likely by looking at the current landscape there I don't see why Pereira's next bout being the trilogy fight as something ridiculous.
