What is an apple fritter?
I had a dutchie once and damn near filled that Tim's with uppercuts!
What shit tier joint have you gotten apple fritters from?apple fritters are super-greasy and terrible for you. not saying that bearclaws are beacons of health, but it's definitely not as unhealthy. i love bearclaws. can't remember the name of the filling, i think it's marzipan, but love that stuff they add in the middle of them.
Tim's has apple fritters too. They don't look anywhere near as good as the ones Pliney posted, but they are delicious. Blueberry fritters are better though. What is an apple fritter?

Never in my life have I had a "greasy" apple fritter. You realize they're all fried the same way, right?
Well, like I said, what shit tier donut joint are you seeing these greasy fritters at? I've never in my life had a greasy apple fritter. Then again, I'm from the south, and we actually know how to fry things properly.apple fritters are, by far, the greasiest donuts i've ever eaten. yes, of course i know that all donuts are fried. but apple fritters are on a whole different level. the ones i've had have a really thick outside layer that holds in the grease. tear apart an apple fritter, and look at the crusting on the outside. completely drenched in oil.
Lol, that looks so shitty.Tim's has apple fritters too. They don't look anywhere near as good as the ones Pliney posted, but they are delicious. Blueberry fritters are better though.

I think its just that youre from the south where fried butter is an appetizer and hes from California where kale is considered dessertWell, like I said, what shit tier donut joint are you seeing these greasy fritters at? Yeah, they don't fuck up donuts where I live.i'm not from the south. all i can tell you, is that regardless of the donut shop i've been to, at least around here, there is always a difference in the amount of grease there is. i'm in california. maybe where you are, they're done differently. i dunno.
I've never even seen fried butter except on a show about Texas state fairs. Your ascertation is incorrect.I think its just that youre from the south where fried butter is an appetizer and hes from California where kale is considered dessert
What you see as dry, he sees as drenched in oil
Tomato, tomahto
Yeah, they don't fuck up donuts where I live.
Well, you obviously are lacking a bit of cooking knowledge. The type of donut has little to do with whether or not it will be greasy. It comes down to frying it properly, making sure the oil is hot enough before you drop them, and a few other things. Just because apple fritters look mostly the same doesn't have anything to do with how well they're cooked.happen to have a photo of the kind of apple fritters you have around there? i somehow get the feeling that maybe we're talking about a different donut. this is what i know an apple fritter to be:

i don't know about you, but this thing is drenched in tons of oil. and the real test. take the apple fritter you have, and heat it in the microwave. guaranteed it's going to be soaking wet in oil. drenched A LOT more than other donuts would be.
