Jones comes out of this event looking worse. Dude could have gotten 30 mill to go in and beat up Tom and shut everyone up and stamp his GOAT status but he ducked it.

I mean yes he's the GOAT but this would have really stamped it that you cant even argue GSP or Silva or Fedor. Fact is he did come off as ducking Tom that he'd rather give that belt up than fight him. He could have and should have taken the money, went in there and beat Tom up and said this is the boogeyman y'all thought would beat me, nah.

It shows that Jon is better than Tom in another way:

Jon never got eye poked because he understands distance management. DC got poked by Stipe. Aspinall got poked by Gane.
 
No correlation. We already knew Jones had better wrestling skills then Aspinall.
Cyril was winning with striking not wrestling. Gane >> Jones striking wise. So if you substitute Gane for Jones versus Aspinall it wouldn't even be the same dynamic.
And Gane obviously improved his TD defense since he fought Jones.

Jones vs Aspinall would depend on if he can dominate him with wrestling for 25 straight minutes. (He probably couldn't based on Reyes fight) Tom's wrestling D is an unknown variable. It really depends.
 
Jones is a fucking pussy. Right now he has the opportunity to fight either of the best 2 heavyweights on the planet. Francis and Tom. But he's going to keep hiding from both. Bet your house on it.
 
It's really difficult to understand how so many people can admire Jones—he has some talent, but his cheating and cowardice are even more impressive.

I think we can say that Jones is a complete pussy who ducked both Aspinall and Ngannou. If he was as good as you say he is, he wouldn't have done so.

If Jones is so good, why won't he fight the best guys? Why was his last fight against a 50-year-old post-prime fighter who had to be dragged out of retirement?
