Snowboarding without a lift ticket?

How many days are you going for?

part of 1. cant afford hotel. eating before to save money. borrowing friends gear to save moneys......

ts bring a long tow rope and have a friend who can afford a lift ticket tow you up the mountain from the chair lift. fool proof.

snowboard at home to save money

Ever been broke man? Not saying he should get to go for free but sometimes 40$ is a good chunk of the rent money.

not so broke i ever made a thread on an internet forum to ask if i really needed a ski lift pass at a ski resort....

no.

If you don't want to buy a lift ticket, just rent a helicopter to take you to the top of the mountain.

Problem resolved.

ive been broke but id like to think ive never been so broke i tried to break the law to snowboard

$40 is nothing I live in Summit county colorado where we might have the best riding in the world for around$100 a day give or take. I hope to god you are a kid. Wait in the parking lot and ask for peoples lift tickets as they leave. I really thought this route was a no brainer to the poor.

TS needs to find hobbies better suited for poor schmucks.

How'd you get a snowboard TS? Those are not cheap either.

Havent you ever been to a resort? Snowboards/skis might be the easiest thing to steal ever

$40? Damn, that's pretty good.
I have to pay $80 here, or $60 for a hill. The hills got to make some money man, it's not that bad

Better pray Indiana jones isn't around

Yeah but you need the right boots to be able to use them. I guess you could steal them and come back next time but that's too much work.

I didnt think this was going to be a serious thread. TS stay off the slopes if you cant afford a damn 40$ ticket for the day you bum. The ski resort has people to pay, 40$ is really friggin cheap for an 8 hour pass. How are you even trying to justify this? Your a danger to others walking up the hill, go find a tobogganing hill in your area if your that fucking cheap.

I've been a few times. And I agree. Biggest implementation of the honor system i've ever seen

Haha thats why its best to get a lock. My one friend went skiing with his family and before he even went up the hill his skis got jacked.

$40 for 8 hours? that is a fuking deal OP. how the hell can you complain about that price when all the mountains in my area are like $80+ for 8 hours. stop whining about it, if you can't afford to go then don't go. A lot of ski resorts struggle to profit because their entire business is based off of unpredictable weather, so just pay the $40 and quit being a little crybaby.

i've snowboarded all my life and i have never heard of anyone hiking up the damn mountain all because of they can't afford a lift ticket.

Going to go snowboarding for the first time in a few days and i've read you need to buy a lift ticket to go out on the slopes. If you don't they either force you to buy one or they just kick you out. I don't justify paying $40 bucks for a measly 8 hours for 1 day on the slopes. I guess I can hike up the mountain, but damn that would take a good couple hours to do. Any of you more experienced sherdoggers have any suggestions on how to enjoy a day on the slopes without having to buy a bullshit lift ticket? The resort in question is Alta Sierra in CA.

I'm speechless.

like you said, you would hike up if they dont care your fine. if they catch you your kicked out. suck it up, pay the money, and enjoy one of the best activities out there.

honestly though, its $40... a fucking day pass at the local resort here costs more and its in fucking indiana...

just read this and I am dying here. honestly if you dont have the money for it, its not worth going out there for one day and being on your ass most of that day... or go all out and do some backcountry skiing without any experience.

I nominate OP as cheapskate of the year. Even though it's January I still feel like you will take the award this year. Congrats

I heard you can get counterfeit Ski Passes from the Deep Web
