It's not like Spong is really active anymore, and this is Karate! Sam could def spark him out.

I can understand the obvious assumptions, given Spong's talent, but at this point, he hasn't really competed professionally for years, and the last time he did (to my knowledge) he got knocked out. Watch Alvey dominate.

Karate combat no less, you are allowed to grapple a bit, Sam could make it as ugly as possible and ground and pound him.

Legitimately speaking I think Sam could finish him with GnP, forget the exact limitations KC's ruleset has, but Spong is dogshit on his back (as you'd expect) and doesn't know how to defend himself from any strikes there.

Spong is one of the biggest "what could've been" ever. His leg break absolutely destroyed his career. Without that unfortunate accident, he would've had a Pereira-esque career in MMA without a doubt. He still has great hands though. Spong by tko (hopefully)
