Small SUV recommendations

What's good to buy? I see so many on the road from so many different makers. A lot of them look alike. I read a small sample size of reports of RAV4 having steering and transmission problems.
 
Audi Q5 or Acura RDX

If you're cheap like me then Honda CR-V
 
I want one too but still owe money on my 2011 sedan. I haven't heard that about Rav4s but that sucks to know. I do like the new ones. The new Mitsubishi Outlanders look good. So do new Hyundai's. If I had money to burn is go with the Lexus. The Acuras and Audis are really nice though. The Audi looks better.

I haven't kept up with car research in a while. Can't recommend based on quality But all the manufacturers are improving.

That was carcomplaints.com or something like that. Small sample size, so could have been bad batch or dumbshit retards posting those reports, so who knows if accurate.

What do you consider small? Cause I would say a 4Runner is always a good choice for a capable SUV that looks cool and isn't a boat to handle in traffic. Compared to a Suburban or Yukon it's very small and nimble

Small as in can comfortably fit in most parking stalls without worrying about scraping anything.
 
My wife has a ford escape. It gets the job done. Great in the snow.
 
Wife has the madaza Cx5 2017 fully loaded and loves it. its really Fun to drive.
 
I think I saw a current RAV4 has a shark fin antenna that probably gets in the way if you try to put something flat on the roof rack.

What I really want to know is which ones are shitty and are notorious for certain problems. The thought of having steering problems or car swerving towards one side is scary. I'd be angry if I spent good money on something shitty I'd want to get rid of shortly.

I like Edmunds and JD Power for reviews, Consumer Reports is pretty good too.
A lot depends on your budget and styling taste. If I had to buy a small suv it'd be the CR-V or the GMC Terrain. Both check a lot of the boxes for a decent price. The Subaru Forester is a good option too. Toyota 4Runner or Grand Cherokee are bigger but not huge and are the only two suv's I'd drive by choice though.

Fun to drive as in scary like a rollercoaster with high center of gravity where you're scared it's gonna topple over or lose control? Or fun as in obeys commands and runs smoothly?

fun that its handle like a sport compact car. Its not top heavy at all and handles welll.
 
I want to be able to put more stuff in the back than can fit in a normal car's trunk, but some of these have a very narrow back cargo space.

My buddy lives in downtown Atlanta and daily drives one with no issue. His is bro'd out too with a lift kit and mud terrains so a stock one should be no problem. Get the TRD Pro edition

RAV4? 4Runner? TRD Pro sounds very expensive.
