Media Slick transition from Pantoja in the Askarov fight

A very scary fact for Moreno. Put aside he's already beat him twice, Moreno's very pressure heavy wrestling style leaves him very open for someone like Pantoja who is dangerous and lethal in all positions. It's really a nightmare matchup

Crazy Librarian was a huge Pantoja fan :(

Beautiful. Though he lost that one. It must be hard watching some kid you have beaten up twice become so good and go right past you, beating two people who have beaten you and becoming the champ while being younger than you. It will be an interesting fight for sure.

Pantoja is absolutely fantastic on the ground but has such a bad habit of gassing the hell out insanely early for a flyweight.
I remember thinking Askarov looked silly in that 1st round and then the 2nd and 3rd rounds was Pantoja being dead tired and unable to do much in terms of fighting but defend.

That was incredibly slick, grappling can be so much fun to watch when the fighters take risks and go for stuff instead of conservatively trying to maintain top position (which is a smart strategy under the current rules and i don't blame fighters for using when half their check is on the line.)

I do really like Moreno and my heart's behind him. (I always like a dominant champ or fighters turning the corner, and I think him avenging his loss to Pantoja to show he's on a new level is an easier chance than Pantoja winning again, then later avenging his own loss to Fig to prove he's turned the corner.)
But man, Pantoja is so slick and dangerous everywhere. I'm real excited for this one

What happened to him?
I really liked Crazy. Saw a few line crosses though and more than a few yellows, so I'm not incredibly surprised, but there are definitely much worse posters on here.

It's crazy to think the UFC let Askar Askarov go, a guy who beat Pantoja and drew with Moreno.
Ye, unfortunately he asked UFC to release him.

Now he's fighting in your favorite organization, Absolute Championship Akhmat.

Pantoja is very talented but Moreno has evolved a lot as a fighter since the TUF days and his last loss to Pantoja 5 years ago. His championship experience is going to serve him well in this fight.

Good chance he's going to lose to 16-0 Keferov too. We will see, Keferov tried to get signed and the UFC didn't want him, Askarov asked to be released lmao.
