SlamBall Mega Thread - SlamBall Returns Summer 2024

Almost Game time!

Game 1: Undefated (8-0) Mob vs the #2 (6-2) Buzzsaw
Game 2: The #4 (4-3) Slashers vs #T-5 Ozone, slashers might have the most exciting player to watch in 5'6" Tony Crosby II.
Game 3 (The Main Event): The Winner of Game 1 plays the Winner of Game 2!

Sorry working right now, but Session 10 is Live now on ESPN+!

Game 1: #T-5 (1-4) Rumble vs #T-5 (1-4) Gryphons, Rumble just won their first game in their last sessions, but lost to the Mob in the main event. The Gryphons have been super physical all year, but only have 1 win to show for it as well. Should be a good scrap between two lower standing teams.
Game 2: #8 (0-4) Lava vs #4 Wrath. The Wrath have 1 Main Event win on the year, and when healthy McGee is one of the top scorers (he broke the SlamBall record for points in a game earlier this year w/ 43 points. The Lava are the most perplexing team. They had the #1 overall draft pick, who has missed the last two games due to injury and a solid stopper in "Fessy" (of Big Brother & The Challenge fame), but have yet to win a game. All four of the Lava's losses have come by only one possesion (lost by 4 points twice, 3 points once and 2 points once).
Game 3 (Main Event) winner of Game 1 plays the Winner of Game 2. Will the Wrath play their way to a second main event win or will one of the other teams win their first session?

Session 11 is Live Now!

Game 1: #2 Buzzsaw (6-3) vs #4 Slashers (5-4) - These teams have met twice this season, splitting the series 1-1 so far. As mentioned before Slashers might have the most exciting player in the league to watch in Tony Crosby II, he's 5'6" with a 52" vertical leap (not using the trampolines).
Game 2: #1 Mob (10-0) vs #5 Gryphons (2-5) - Mob have been completely unstoppable, absolutely destroying every team put in front of them. Gage Smith for the Mob has been the front runner for the MVP award so far this season, while Justin Holmes has proved to be the leader on the Gryphons.
Game 3 (Main Event): The Winner of Game 1 plays the winner of Game 2 - The mob are trying to win their 6th Main Event, Buzzsaw are trying to win their 3rd, Slashers are trying to win their 2nd and the Gryphons are trying to win their 1st.

Session 12 is Live Now!

Game 1: #3 Wrath (5-3) vs #7 Ozone (1-5) - The Wrath have two Main Event wins this year and the #1 scorer in the league in Ty McGee, while the Ozone have only one win on the season over the winless Lava.
Game 2: #6 Rumble (1-5) vs #8 Lava (0-5) - The Rumble started off as one of the worst teams in the league, but have since had two of the most exciting games in SlamBall history, getting their first win w/ a Dunk in the final seconds against the Ozone and then losing by 3 to the Gryphons in their last game, the first SlamBall game to go to OT this season. The Lava have yet to win a game but have lost every game by only one possession, with the exception of their last game which they lost by 5 points. Lava have a 5 point loss, two -4point losses, a three point loss and a twopoint loss, they enter this game as 11.5 point favorites.
Game 3 (Main Event): Winner of Game 1 plays the Winner of Game 2 - The Wrath are likely the favorite to win this session, but can one of the other bottom of the league teams pull of the surprise win and try to get themselves in playoff contention?

New schedule for Week 4 finally released! The final week of the regular season! Top 6 make playoffs, so for a handful of teams this is a huge week.

One hour until Session 13 beings!

Game 1: Mob (12-0) vs Lava (2-5) - The Mob have ran rough shot over the whole league, dominant, no ones really been close. They have the likely MVP in Gage Smith. The Lava lost their first 5 games all essentially by one possession (one game by 5 points, two by 4 points, one by 3 points and one by 2 points). But heading into Session 12 last week, they got their #1 Overall Pick Bryce Moragne back from injury & they have the best statistical stopper in the league in Faysal ("Fessy") Shaffat (of Big Brother & The Challenge fame) and that propelled them to not one but two wins, including the Main Event of Session 12. Coming off that hot momentum, will it be enough? Can they take down the Mob? These two teams have never played this year, so anything is possible.
Game 2:
Gryphons (2-6) vs Ozone (2-6) - With Playoffs coming up, and this being the last week of the regular season every win is crucial. These are two of the three teams that have yet to win a Session this season, so they're facing an uphill battle in game two regardless, but this first one is mighty important in terms of Standings, so lets see who wants it more.
Game 3 (Main Event): Winner of Game 1 vs Winner of Game 2 - Will the Mob win their 7th Session and stay undefeated? Can the Lava stay hot and win 2 Sessions in a Row? Will the Gryphons or Ozone win their first session of the season and gain standing for the playoffs? Find out tonight at 8pm on ESPN 2!
