Read your post and literally found her last night running a quest. I immediately released my helper and asked her to support me. She is POWERFUL!...

Is there a particular weapon that buffs her attacks?

Only problem have with her is that when I use her as a mule, she will equip the extra items at times. A bit annoying since she'll pick anything that has higher defense.

I don't think she has any buffs, if I remember right she is one of the few mage followers that uses the higher level Ice Spear spell instead of the Ice Spikes. She not a good mule. That's why she is protecting my house.

Equip her with a shield but no weapon. She sometimes switch to her default bow so make sure to give her one Deadric arrow, she will use it to infinity. In melee, she will hold the shield but cast with her other hand. Badass!

I like to give her a circlet and a robe of major destruction, to buff her ice spells. Like the other guy said, she doesn't make a good mule. She can carry misc items like Dragon Bones but she tend to equip poor weapons and armor automatically. Drop your extra gear in your home chest instead, no need to carry junk everywhere!

I hope this shit is fixed by the time I get home. They put a patch to the patch on Steam a few hours ago but it's beta and I'm not fucking with that.

Did anyone know that if you pickpocket the archer in the thieves guild and replace his arrows with a high quality one, he will keep shooting that type and you can pick them up?

No need to go through the thief guild quest for that: you can do the same thing at Solitude. Where the archers train, do your trick and you can collect infinite arrows. Try to put the best arrow into their inventory: deadric arrows.

Oh, nice. I joined the Thieves' Guild anyway so I didn't know about Solitude.

The Special Edition is free on PC, if you already had the game + all DLC.

by far the best guild in skyrim is the Thieves Guild.

Great quest line and its one of the reasons I love the rift. (Its got mountains, lakes, forests, etc.) Just overall beautiful and one of my favorite areas.

I don't know what the issue is, but have you tried the Unofficial Patch? I have that installed for awhile and even after the first update never had any issues with the game freezing. Granted, I am on PC and you are on XBox, right?

Yeah, on Xbox..not sure if I can even mess around with that patch on Steam being on a console. Hopefully something happens in the next day or two.

The Skyrim Unofficial Patch is available on Xbox through the Bethesda mod site.

I don't know if it will work or not. As I said, I never had any issues after the Bethesda patch and his this installed. Might be worth a try.

I wonder if you could uninstall (I think the saves stay on your drive), then reinstall while offline and play that way until the next patch? With your internet connection, reinstalling would take like five minutes anyway lol

I haven't had many issues. The vivid weather Mod screwed up the brightness so I had to disable it. Had some frame rate issues today but other than that it's been fine.
