Bro the mods are free and effective, and really easy to navigate on console... There are thousands you can adjust to your own will.

I feel exactly the same way.

If you're going to play as an archer or mage, the ranged combat is decent. Up close melee combat is atrocious.

I'd be interested in a sequel, but only if some serious adjustments are made to hand to hand combat. I wouldn't even mind it if it wasn't in first person anymore. Plenty of games have great open world gameplay in third person...
You can make all versions of Skyrim 3rd person with the click of a button, and download mods that improve the combat experience massively on the Xbox One and PC Versions at least, not sure about Sony..

I was curious myself when you posed this.

What is the ETA on the Keurig K-Cup pumpkin spice dark roast edition?

I mean, I'd rather loot 100 corpses for apples than watch my coffee get brewed.

Morrowind 2002
Oblivion 2006
Fallout 3 2008
Skyrim 2011
Fallout 4 2015

7 years between the two Fallouts, meaning it will probably be 2030 before Fallout 5 comes out. Thats assuming it isn't permanently gone in favor of Fallout 76 like what Blizzard did with the Warcraft series.
WoW was an immense success though where as Fallout 76 is a bit of a flop.

But the end result is that it killed the series as a single player experience
Yeah my point is thought that they've been making a ton of money on WoW so they focused on content for that. Fallout 76 isn't going to give Bethesda that luxury. I mean I guess reselling Skyrim 14 times might though.

I like how after all these re-releases, the Skyrim community keeps harping about how much better the game is with mods.. or how mods fixed certain aspects of the gameplay.

Great business model. Keep re-releasing a shell of a decent game and rake in the cash while the community spends time fixing the game for free.

Which is why it shouldn't be too much of a bother to release a broken-ass sequel to rinse, wash, repeat.

Skyrim on Game Pass notches a dismal 2* average rating, and I don't have to cast a single Google to know the explanation for that is as simple as this: it doesn't support the Skyrim Script Extender.

This morning when i saw this on Steam got a chuckle. First review had me rolling "I better be a shareholder of bethesda at this point".

As bad as fallout 4 was I'm not really in a hurry to see a skyrim sequel. Its probably gonna suck.

Got the anniversary edition because I never played any of the Creation Club stuff. It's pretty dope, honestly. If you liked Skyrim and haven't played it since beating the Dragonborn DLC, I would highly recommend it. All of the new content is on par with multiple Dragonborn-sized DLCs.

And still no sign of a sequel. It's infuriating... Elder Scrolls Online was one of the worst things that ever happened in gaming.

Don't you dare ruin Elder Scrolls for me lol. Melee combat is perfect, keep it simple and satisfying.

I just started this game. The most frustrating aspect for me is the lock picking. Snap, Snap, Snap. I totally suck at it. Close combat is also a bit annoying after playing witcher3. Maybe I just haven't discovered it yet but there's no way to dodge ?

I initially got the original on Xbox 360, which I eventually sold w/ the console.

I got it again on PC as the Legendary edition, then got the free Special Edition Upgrade that came with it. Never played to Dragonborn/Dawguard DLCs when they originally came out and I wanted to try the mods. I later got the SE on PS4 which it was on sale for cheap so I could play it on the TV.

The Anniversary Edition, if you already own Special Edition, is just an optional DLC bundle, you don't need to purchase a new AE version to get access to the bundle, or to buy the things ala cart. They have given away 4 free DLC items and updated it so that if you have a PS5, SE/AE runs better on it.

Not quite the exploitative cash grab it has been made out to be. Just a bundle of things, a few new DLC things to purchase if you want and a free upgrade if you already own it.

Should we be honestly celebrating a Skyrim 10 year anniversary? It's just a reminder that there hasn't been a new The Elder Scrolls game in 10 fuckin years!

Morrowind was my introduction to the series 20 years ago, back when I was young strapping lad with hopes and dreams. I was blown away by the sheer amount of freedom in a single game, I could be anything I wanted, go anywhere I wanted, who needed real life? 5 years later we got Oblivion, and then another 5 years later we got Skyrim. Now it's been 10 years since then, and we're still likely a few years away from the next one. The worth better be worth it. 15 years in the making and still riddled with bugs and glitches, can't wait.

WoW was a massive success and a good game though. Fallout 76 is a dud. Plus they don't charge subs for 76 do they?
