Size difference between Stipe Miocic and Ryan Bader

Stipe has a giant head LOL.

Weird thing is that they are only about 10lbs apart. Bader packs a lot of muscle.
Bader is a BIG 205lb fighter. He's really powerful, good cardio, endless wrestling, I have to pick him vs Fedor.

Stipe is a big guy, genuine heavyweight size, and he will be the first to admit I think that an occasional loss is ALWAYS motivating and in some ways a very good thing. I am pretty sure he said that about his 5-round decision loss to Dos Santos back in 2014.
You just have to take an honest and a no-excuses look at why you lose a fight, and figure out how to avoid that in future and all that. I think Stipe will be working on everything.

He is a great fighter, but we all know at Heavyweight, everyone hits very hard and if you have your chin in the wrong place at the wrong time, then it's simply Goodnight Vienna. Cormier had a great plan, executed it perfectly and deserved that win. Strategy and planning every time.

The legs... good thing bader kept the guards on.

Stipe just has that long torso. Bader's waist is at his belly button.

Bader himself has a long torso with relatively short legs N narrow hips. That’s why his kicks look bad.

Compare him to other fighters he faced

That’s a good built for wrestlers (big strong upper body, short legs hard to grab)

In mma it’s disadvantage as it reduces the mobility n makes kicking harder

You would think "Overeem" in the background would be a dead giveaway that this image has been shopped.

It’s an amazing shop. If you didn’t know who Overeem is it looks real

Bader is a big dude. A lot bigger than DC. He's always been a big LHW.

Stipe is a good sized HW. That being said, there isn't much difference in size. Bader and Stipe are in that (my opinion) perfect zone of HW size between about 230-240 give or take a few points on either side. I'm not going to try and turn this into a discussion about Bader being more built for HW, but he certainly has looked it so far. I'm curious as to whether some of his chin problems are gone with the elimination of the weight cut.

Angle, Stipe is closer to the camera and is a step forward.

But yea he is 2 inches taller, wider, bigger head and is probably 15-20 lbs heavier. Overall Stipe is really wide but he isn't that thick.
I think Bader is more like 6’0” even; he’s not 6’2” as he is listed by the UFC. He looks about 3” or so shorter than both Mitrione and Stipe.

Bader is a big dude. A lot bigger than DC. He's always been a big LHW.
He’s taller than DC who is likely under 5’10”, but he’s not really bigger than DC. Daniel is built like a tank; very wide, very thick, with tree-trunk legs.

Bader was pretty good at lhw but it seems he's better at hw. I don't want to call this "prime Bader" yet but it's like he's having a career resurgence as of late, or at least he's been on a roll since getting demolished by Rumble Johnson. All the guys he's beat in Bellator have been good fighters, the weakest link might be Linton Vassell. He's not bad either.. Maybe not UFC caliber, but he doesn't suck.

Vassell is absolutely UFC caliber at LHW. The division is so shallow right now.
