Site formatting is cooked!?

Bruh, I decided to check out the Xenforo forums to see whatsup with this update.

Their forum is not ugly and bloated.

I was excusing the staff here, but it's clearly someone on this side making it so ugly.
We don't need 60% of this shit.
Forums use xenforo to build extra stuff off of, or else all forums look the same.

Imagine you're playing a game that's heavily modded. The base game updates will often require the mods to as well.

I assumed they were limited to templates or something.

This forum has too many useless buttons, links and sections.

edit : I'm not talking about Sherdog's current state. I'm talking about when it works.

Yep this is pretty much the perfect analogy. It's like when Skyrim updates on Steam and breaks all the 200+ mods you have installed.
I do "seamless co-op" elden ring with 2 buddies and let me tell you, it is ANYTHING but "seamless"

Maybe the site has too many sections? Not that's necessarily related, but as a further suggestion, wouldn't it be cooler if we made the forum more compact, rather than many sections? For example —

UFC
MMA (outside UFC)
Boxing/kickboxing/Muay Thai
Fighting techniques discussion

Then the off topic like:

General Discussion Thread
Deep Discussions

Forums suggestions/feedback/complaints

I honestly believe that having it more, like, stacked together, with less too many channels and contents help bringing the community closer and also keeping it nicer to follow. Imo at least.

I'm just glad it's not just me, not just my computer.

I do not understand what @Mohawk Banditó and @Slobodan are saying lol.

But do, and agree with what @chinarice is saying.

lol.

This feels like the forum 20 years ago, big scrolls.
You have a wall. You nailed a billboard across the wall into 2 of the studs so you can post a bunch of stuff.

One day, the building owner has some people come in and they note the structural integrity needs updating, so not only do all the studs get moved, but the spacing between them changed too.

And before you even get the chance to check where the new studs are and where you need to put the new holes into the billboard for nails so you can rehang it on the wall, people come in and go "What the fuck! This billboard looks like shit!"

Yeah I wonder if one is objectively worst than the other, like, "objectively" in the sense that most people prefer the smell of roses than the smell of shit, or if it's all a matter of being used to a layout for a long time. Like, were this layout always in usage and the former one replaced this one, would most ppl think it's shit too?

Edit: btw, I use a tablet. It seems the mobile mode is already defaulted... How do I choose the computer mode? I mean, I'm not finding it in the forums' setting (in forums, I'd usually find it in the bottom — mobile mode/ PC mode)?

reminds me of old school online forums.
