Here's a video from a summer camp session from my college going over single leg finishes, from a basic finish to troubleshooting the defenses. The single leg is the most common shot in wrestling. And a lot of bjj techniques, especially from half guard come up into singles. Hope someone finds it useful. And like the guy says in the beginning, there are a lot of ways to finish single legs

And no... you don't have to be a hulking super athlete to do these finishes..

Thanks

lol, reminds me of the image everyone has about powerlifters (+240lb competitors)

Thanks for this. The information in these camps is always very insightful.

Tnx a lot. I'm checking the other videos on the channel, lots of good stuff in there.

Yeah one thing I've noticed is that when a lot of people are trying to learn wrestling. The first things they come across on YouTube can be of dubious quality and often from "mma gyms" and not high level wrestling coaches and/or don't go into the depth needed. So I'm trying to post vids that will help

Thanks a lot fo this jack, I'm really working on my wrestling in the past month or so and this will come in really handy.

Love this. So often wrestling instructionals have very little depth and are 90 seconds of breakneck speed teaching.

Yup, exactly why I picked this one. I have others I'll post after I get them uploaded

Worked on the finish and transitions from being sprawled on tonight and hit it rolling a couple times. No one could keep their balance all the way to the end of the sequence, such was the power of being told 357 times in the video to drive the shoulder into the back of the knee.

Awesome, I've always been a single-leg type of guy. Will definitely watch

Glad it helped man, why I posted it:D, I posted some other stuff on defense on a new thread. And I'm posting a funk video later

Only watched about half so far but it's amazing. I've never seen this stuff before.

Excellent vids. You should make a mega thread with all the videos you posted (and be a sticky).

I have a question though, what are you doing when the guy isn't trying to whizzer you but going for the front headlock/guillotine control (from the sprawl, so you already failed the first part to go behind him)? you "fucked it long ago"?

Peek outs are an option I guess.
