He literally fell into the takedowns and then just laid there in a lockdown. Didn't try to sweep, submit, or even get back to his feet. Just desperately hugged DC with his eyes closed like he was finishing up a yoga class while DC landed umpteen unanswered strikes to his face.

All these 'Matrix' casuals have no idea what they're on about
 
Well DC is 40 pounds heavier. Not that simple buddeh.
 
DC was the bigger man and he is a beast at top controlling people, helax eez normal.

Yeah I don't have a problem with him stalling because he was fighting up a weight class on 2 days notice, but it is extremely annoying to hear people saying that Cormier is a boring dry humper because of it. Cormier has been a consistently exciting fighter for eons.
 
Silva was indeed stalling, but I actually don't blame him for it. He wasn't getting up, sweeping, or submitting someone as gargantuan as DC. Might as well force a standup.
 
There was definitely some lock down involved but Cormier by his own admission "did what he had to do."

I'd like to see what you could do TS with DC on top of you. I'm guessing only one thing, die.
 
The lockdown is pure stalling if you are flat on your back in bottom half. You can't do much with it unless you are on your side, which DC prevented him from being. He was just holding on and trying to control DC's posture until BJM stood them up, giving him the chance to blow his wad on the feet.

There was nothing Silva could do.

Possibly if Silva was 30 pounds heavier than DC and somehow managed to take DC down and do nothing but control the fight, DC wasn't going anywhere either, even though DC's certainly a much better wrestler and LNPer than Silva.
 
That fight was a pos. It's hilarious how offended everyone is pretending to be by the "disgusting" booing from the crowd.

A fucking heavyweight laid and prayed on a MW. Would have been better if DC just didn't fight at all. Props to Andy for taking the fight.
 
It was pretty damn impressive that as a 41-year-old middleweight he nullified taking damage from the LHW olympic wrestler champ who used to fight at HW.

You really can't fault stalling in a situation you didn't initiate. Silvas didn't want to be on the ground, DC took the fight there and its his responsibility to do something with it.
