Silo: great Truther Scifi Show

I still enjoyed it but it wasn't as good as the first. I do see a lot of people seem to think it fell off though. I am ready for it to end though and I don't think another 2 seasons is necessary. I might wait for both to come out before finishing it.
I liked season 2. It's a bit different because they already answered many of the big questions and mysteries by the end of season 1, but there were still enough to go around to keep it very interesting. I think Juliette being stuck doing side quests for a while slowed everything, but she had to build trust and had to be stalled getting back until the end of the season. Plus, it kinda happened in the book like that.

I see things how I see them. I disliked the way they were telling the story and/or showing the characters. It was for me more about "how" than about "what" is being shown.

Some of the stuff I remember:

Main protagonist is first seen closing a valve and calling everyone else idiots while flexing her muscles. Yeah I get it she's a tough girl but that is 80's B-movie level cringe.
All the important, knowledgeable and wise characters are female.
The main protagonist and another black woman explaining what is a generator turbine to the facility's director and their direct boss (the only white male in the room whose name we know) is simply idiotic. Also he is there effectively only to hinder the protagonist. To me, it reeks of agenda-driven writing.

Is it really too much? I think for the average viewer it's ok.
I am not trying to spoil the fun for anyone enjoying the show, but it seems I personally got an overdose of cringe agenda movies and series so I decided not to add to it, even though Silo itself is not the source of the problem and is far from the worst series from the last couple of years.

Just to give you a heads up. There are plenty of competent and useful males in the show by mid season 2. Even the mechanical boss guy is pretty damn useful in season 2, and me and my wife were making fun of him in season 1 since he just gets pissed and shouts fuck and did little else.

Yea me personally I enjoyed it. I like post apocalyptic stuff like that and just seeing day to day stuff is still enjoyable to me. I just knew though that most wouldn't be ok with that and wouldn't enjoy it.

2nd season fell off, oof
Huh. I thought the 2nd season was pretty decent. I actually liked it better than the 1st I think. I was happy to hear that its been renewed for 2 more seasons and the writers know that the 4th will be the final.
