I swear the main character had severe bipolar disorder. Trying to understand her motivations and the character in general was impossible. It was like she was crazy.

My go to fwap movie in the 90s was color of night (although I could do without bruce willis' naked ass).

They saw it nominated, read the synopsis, heard the word-of-mouth, and voted for it without watching it.

Wouldn't be surprised if the exact same thing happened this year, especially after 'OscarsSoWhite' trended last year... so of course the movie with the Black & Gay main character would win over the heavy favorite with two white and straight main characters.
