Let's see. Dana says Edgar vs Also is for the interim title. Dana then says "win, lose or draw, Conor's next fight will be to defend his title at". So what the fuck is the point of an interim then? Oh, yeah, because most of us know Conor never wants to make that cut to 145 again and Dana is his lapdog.
 
Aldo is a way worst match-up for Edgar, but a "title shot" is good anyway I guess, Also Hope he make good money on 200.

I'll admit I'm a more casual fan, but I agree, I'm happy for him. I'm glad he gets a pay day, a chance to avenge the loss (as you noted), and as a fan, I'm just thankful when I can see him fight.
 
I'm 50-50 on it.

The people who are upset are assuming its a foregone conclusion that Conor will return to FW. I'm kinda doubting it will ever happen, and whoever wins this is probably going to end up champ anyways. The only thing that would suck is losing out on a big money fight with Conor, but if he's not going back to FW it doesn't really matter.
 
It's similar to making Wonder Boy's next fight against Rory. Anyone could argue that WB deserved a title shot after making Hendricks look like a beginner, and Rory is a horrrrrrrrrible matchup for WB (for anybody). BUT, both are great fights. Nobody should complain.
 
Calling it now, Conor retires or otherwise leaves the UFC after the second beating Diaz gives him.

The interim title is a hook to get Aldo and Edgar to agree to a fight.
 
I'm not particularly fond of either Edgar, or Aldo. In that sense they are fighting for what I also believe will eventually be the real belt. So, good for those guys. If you want to be the champ you have to beat all comers anyway. Something Conor clearly has no intention of ever doing.

But all this fuckery is just not right. It never has been, or will be alright. That's what's pissing off most ppl would be my guess. It's the fact that Conor should be defending his belt at 200. Instead of ducking two worthy challengers to fuck about in the most meaningless main event fight in UFC history.

No shit, but it's meaningless if Conor is then going to defend in his very next fight anyway. The UFC should have been demanding Conor fight at 145 now rather than patronize him because he's butthurt about getting his ass handed to him by Cabo-Diaz.

I'm happy for Frankie because it sets up a chance for him to fight Mcgregor in the main event in NY to unify the belts. Even thought the interim title is a joke w/ the champ healthy and fighting in the same card. I think this just gives Conor the job of promoting two fights at once.

Either way I hope Edgar wins the real title and dumps Conor's dead body down the sewer for the rats to feed on

At least it's for the eventual title because only in memory can Conor ever make 145 again.

Also, imo, this is for the vacant FW belt and i hope whoever wins calls Conor out on that.
