Should ufc make Aldo vs Stephens at 155 winner gets a title shot at 145?

Since ortega refuses to fight and edgar does not want to fight stephens I think it should happen. Both fighters can probably make 155 and are fighting anyways. Should be added to ufc 226, i would watch. thoughts?

I love Aldo, but no. Ortega earned his shot, and it's not his fault the fight is off. If Max is recovered, just push the fight to 227 or 228.
Hope Aldo moves to 155 anyway after this fight. Nothing left for him at FW.

On the other hand, he has the opportunity to challenge the real champ for the title when it gets rescheduled.

I personally, would do exactly what he is doing. I don't see any reason not to. But I don't understand why everyone cares so much. It's a choice. He's a grown man. He chose to wait for Max. It's actually what should be happening.

One day all of Sherdog bitches about excessive interim titles. The next day, a title challenger is a pussy because he won't fight, a guy who's 5-5 in his last 10 and has zero top 5 wins for an interim belt.....rather than wait a couple months and keep the weigh tclass from becoming a circus and fight the actual champ for the real belt.
