Being that Conor only has 1 fight at 155 in 2016, should more deserving contenders that are proving themselves in the division get the next shot at the title first while Conor builds his resume? Or should he get the first crack simply for being the former champ?

EDIT: This thread is made under the assumption that the rumors are true and that Conor is being stripped/ the Tony/Khabib fight is has been signed for April 7th in Brooklyn and it will be officially announced at UFC 220 for the undisputed title.

Colin barely scraped through Nate Diaz.

There is a reason he has continued to duck genuine contender's because he knows he would get absolutely smoked like a freshwater salmon.

He should put his feet up now and enjoy fatherhood and leave the fighting to the real men.

Of course Bozopotomus will give him an instant title shot if he comes back.

The UFC is about money fights and who can earn them the highest PPV revenue. Conor, love or hate him, is their biggest draw.

do they smoke saltwater salmon? Is there even a such thing as a freshwater or saltwater salmon or should they all be called brackish water salmon? Maybe there's a legit way to name them.

if conor is smart he should try to fight woodley.

At this point, it should be Conor asking to fight the winner of Tony/Khabib. Im a fan but Tony and Khabib are more of a champion than Conor.

I think that it would be awesome if they told him to get in line and actually earn his LW title shot this time.

Builds his resume??
Unless he goes up in weight again there is no one to challenge him besides ferg or habib

That motherf*ker ain't coming back as long as Khabib or Tony have the belt, if he does he'll make up some bullsh!t about a tuner-up fight then you'll McGregor/Diaz III then he'll go all Keyser Soze...

Fighting (and beating) Conor brings the most spotlight and the most money. Of course they should.

Conor can do whatever he wants and you know it.
If the winner of Khabib vs. Tony is so lucky, they will fight Conor next.

Lol so many haters forget Conor has lost ONE fight in the UFC, and has fought some great competition. Who cares that he got a fast tracked title shot at 155 when he actually had to win the fight, and he did so in impressive fashion.

Conor doesn’t deserve an instant title shot. Go fight Edson Barboza.

If Khabib wins he will fight Khabib 100%.

That's a big money fight if it happens in Russia.

If god forbid Khabib loses he will probably fight Woodley or GSP.

Tony is not in the picture... ever. I personally am not that sad about it because I believe he would light Ferguson up like a Christmas tree.

If Conor can fight they will have him fight the biggest name they can or for a title.

I guarantee he gets the first shot

WME is reaching for big fights to pay off that debt they have since purchasing the company
