Should the rim in the NBA be raised higher?

Jon Jones has the reach of a 7 footer and...

He is only 6"3 or 6"4. Reach in fighting is measured by wingspan and factors in frame width of torso.

With his hand above his head he is not close to the rim as the average 6"6 NBA player. Not to mention most guys in the NBA have large reaches

Dude, when you put your arms straight up in the air, your elbow is roughly in line with the top of your head. People don't have arms that are 4 feet long.

He's at least the same height with a 2" greater wingspan than Dwyane Wade

Changing the height of a basketball net is like allowing MLB to use use metal bats.

They should do it like MTV's Rock & Jock Basketball, three hoops worth different points:

All dunks worth just 1 point.

You know some people with some fucking long ass foreams bro.

Money long like the arms on Alonzo Mourning.

The rim should be set at 20 feet.
Players can call on any wizards, or Dementors according to their code, to assist them
in long distance scoring.
A 3 pointer with a goat's head is worth half as much that with a cow's head.

Can they pick anyone or is it by random?

Imagine a team declares they wanna use their wizard assist for the game and everyone is watching the screen in anticipation whether the team gets Bradley Beal for the quarter or if they are stuck with Ish Smith instead

I've actually never watched a basketball game in my life, so your references fall short.
but whatever scenario you can imagine with positive results is a plus.

Sport would be drastically improved if they added two more nets and two more balls, a big one and a small one, and only the right sized ball can go into the right sized net also you will be allowed one flying and one land animal and start with 10 points if that animal is the same animal as your mascot

They should put breast implant material on the back board to protect the players heads.

How about a fire moat around the paint and a floor level trampoline at the top of the key?

Pros and cons, and style of play changing. A lot of teams play small now. So the average height, also around the rim with stretch everything, has gone down.

The pros would be finding out the real dunkers and real shot blockers. Guys who can really jump. And guys who can really shoot 3's. If the rim is raised significantly.

Cons are less dunks and poor teams who keep shooting 3's no matter the percentage still shooting on a target further away from release. Still playing bad basketball.

I'd go with the pros.

NBA teams need to bring in quotas for white players and transgender athletes.

hahaha, that would be funny. But if they did implement this, doubt they would use yellow smiley faces, hahaha.
What would it be, 1, 2 and 3 points the higher you go?

Haha.

Yeah, more points the higher you go.

And the further from the goal you shoot from as well.

So if you shoot from behind the 3-point line and make it in the lowest goal: 3 points like normal.

But if you shoot from behind the 3-point line and make it into the highest goal: 9 points.
